Well I live in the big new town in the middle of the green hills of Shropshire. Telford is basically the 'ugly' brother of Milton Keynes. And is OFFICIALLY the chav capital of Europe - the highest percentage of teenage pregnancies in Europe.

Strange, I was always told Doncaster and/or Barnsley (S. Yorkshire) had that 'honour'. Maybe everyone has that statistic somewhere nearby to keep us good, honest, decent & sex-free [incidentally, & don't watch this at work, Sex is Wrong]. That said, 'highest percentage' could refer to several different proportions, I've little trust for statistics.

Swindon is kinda unlucky in that it's surrounded by Oxford, Bath, Bristol and Salisbury.. and whilst these places are also a bit shite they've got more character, more atmosphere and cheaper parking than swindon.

It's a bit like Reading only smaller.. it really is that bad.

Also the first Roundabout and the *home of Black (yes Black) Squirrels. They are cute and FAST!

* I heard they have black squirrels in a town in Canada too but we had them first :tongue:

Anyway its in Hertfordshire. Just far enough north of London that you dont get NDubz wannabees wandering the streets but you can get there in 50 mins drive if you need to.
