Alright, I've honestly not read the third page of this debate, but let me throw in my two cents and clear some things up.
I'm a military man. I serve my country, get shot at, thrown into radiation filled disaster areas, fed caustic shit from the chow hall, and get paid a meager wage for it. I loved my country enough to sign my name on the dotted line and do such.
But I'm sure as hell not retiring in America.
I dislike the American People. I dislike the American Gov't. I dislike the corruption, the lies, and the assumptions of entitlement. I also dislike incorrect assumptions, so let me clear something up right quick.
America Is Not A Democracy. IT's a Federal Republic. 'Democracy' hasn't been in effect for the entirety of our existence as a country. A working mans vote doesn't go for president, it goes for the 'Popular Vote', which is basically used as a Gallup poll to see who's where in the election, and doesn't have real weight. A working mans vote goes toward the Electoral College, whom can then -disagree- with their constituents vote and vote for whomever they please. The working man does not get a direct say in their President at all. Ever. The closest thing to a representational democracy we have is the House of Representatives and Congress, since they're directly voted on by the people, but even then there's so much red tape and Checks/Balances in place that the peoples word doesn't mean nearly as much as it should.
There. Said that bit.
ACTA needs to die. <--- Meaningful addition to existing debate. Yarr.
