Strigoi themed

HI all,

Just starting really building my army, getting in to a very strigoi themed list, lots of horrors and ghouls... i've begun to create a nice theme, with the feral nature of strigoi taking over a lot, so bringing in a ghoul and lycan feel with plenty of wolves, werewolves and general savage beasts but at the same time i'm almost always running a mortis engine.
Pretty much everything else in my army at the moment is non-GW and I'm not a fan of the mortis engine model, nor does it really fit in with my theme so i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what i could use/build instead.
I've thought of making a feral/wolf chariot with some sort of shrine on it, or even just using a giant wolf/bat creature and painting it ghostly colours.... nothing really seems to be inspiring me, anyone got any bright ideas?

What about using Skaven Plague furnace as a base (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440084a&prodId=prod290024a), instead of skaven crew add some ghouls and a necromancer and maybe switching the ball for something else?

Hmm, that's a good idea... maybe the base from the warp-lightning cannon would be just as effective... been looking at ebay and wondered if i could take an empire war-altar and defile/deface/corrupt it too...

On the bell idea, you can replace the bell whit a hanging bat perhaps?

There is a mortis engine challenge this month just saying.

I think if done right a war alter based would be great, especially with extra evil touches.

I am currently making a mortis engine out of a pile of rocks green stuff and some skulls. Found a handful of rocks that I can glue to a base and fill in with skulls then green stuff to make a flat place for a alter type addition and the necro.

Another idea I had is taking the Dreadfire portal and making them into one. makes a feel that the necromancer just uprooted his castles stairs to come join the fight.
