Tactics vs Arachnorak spider

hey guys,
one of the gamers in my group plays night goblins and has a huge Arach/spider thingy...what's the best way to deal with that thing..I have almost every unit available for an undead player...just need some tactics advice

I locked it down with two zombie units most recently. He had other things more pressing to deal with, though.

I had a unit of 5 hex wraths do really well at killing it/ holding it up.

Banshee screams are enough to send it to hell.

If you favor Mortis Engines, they can kill it as well =)

Yep screams are your best bet. Out of ip range they are only ld6.

This works a treat. I did the very same in a tournament. Held up the Spider for most of the game, then finished it off with a flank charge from a unit of Cairn Wraiths buffed by Vanhel's and Hellish Vigour.

aside from screams, poison works very well and even better when you cast Van Hells.

Terrorgheist scream will do it. It's leadership 6 iirc.

You know that beautiful massive bat that GW gave us almost specifically to kill monsters? Yep, scream it to death. It should take 1-2 screams to take it down. My first game fielding a TG I played against a goblin player (this was back when the TG was only in a white dwarf) and he used the massive spider of doom. Three turns in it got one-hit-screamed and the TG was proclaimed "so broken".

Yeah, people don't really like it when you kill something of theirs outside of combat with a single model.

They tend to be pretty good at making monsters disappear.

If you're playing TGs against O&G, i cant see how a TG can live past T2 by 2x doom divers, 2x rock lobbers, and Gork feet. They are prerequisites in any O&G list, correct?

I have used a bat swarm and two units of zombies to bring one down. Etherials are also useful against it!
