After seeing that the new VC have gone down a Kreate-A-Karekter (MK much?) And that my painting and modling skills are really really bad, i though of taking it one better and making an entirely new raceidh thingy for my vampire, I Have some ideas and i'll lay them down and see what people think

-Shape shifters, most of the army having animal parts and weird extras.

-Lycans, Although cliche most vampires allready are. most of the heroes being were things and the army having a distinct animal feel

Or my personal favourite

-Thalid, mould really. Zombies will have a more rotting feel with some groths attached, wepons will be great GS experiance, and the army will looks unified but not like an empire army.

I second what others are saying about the pie. I know you seem to be on the theme thing what about a historical refrence to some ancient army??? Assyrians/Babylonians/Persians/Greeks/Romans/Chinese/Japanese/Germanic tribes/Huns/etc. and the list could go on forever. To me it would be more aesthetic to the eye. It would also cut down on your opponent wondering what exactly he's facing.

good point, and i really shouldnt have put pie on there,
if i was doing a historic theme, i would probably go with celts, they do have alot of tribes, so for custimization there good, and they had those really cool trinkets and face paintings. so it gives me the experiance i wanted to.
The votes seem to sugest i shouldn't own an army (pie 4 all the rest combined 3) but i will write up some fluff and see what i can get out of the celt idea.

Thanks dictator

Seriously now, I wasted my vote on pie (mmmmmmm pie .................) but I like the shapeshifter idea mixed in with the celt/druid idea, you can image the whole at power of nature, shifting into different aspects of the animals.

Wait a mo.....are we talking vampire wood elves?? Nooooooo........

nope, not wood elves. so shapshifting celts? me thinks my genral will be called merlyn at this rate. it is a good idea though.

"Lycans". I ask you. We called 'em werewolves when I was a lad. Damn cinema, with its Kate Beckinsale runnin' around in tight trousers usin' the wrong words... (is there a grumpy old man emoticon?)

I have no idea what a "thalid" is either.

That said, the Celtic option sounds funky, very much in line with that ancient-cultures theme the new Vampire Counts have had injected into them. I'd go for that one.

Thalid

(n.) Someone deformed by mother's use of drug 'Thalidomide'during pregnancy. 'Thalidomide', also known as 'Neurosedyn' and 'Softenon', was prescribed to pregnant women during the 1950's and 60's as a sleeping pill and to combat morning sickness. Unfortunately, children of women who took the drug were born with all manner of hideous deformities, such as incredibly short arms.

Is this what he's talking about. I have no idea.

I chose pie.
