Tale of Painters Month 3

Good morning all,

Month 3 has begun in earnest and I have been working on more of the Rust Waagh personally. I have been working on some Gutrippaz, Mogroks Crushers and a Killaboss.

I think the next model I am going to be getting for the force is either a Start Collecting Ironjawz box or Gobsprakk.

How do you pick what you are going to add to an army next? How are you getting on with your pledges?

How do you pick what you are going to add to an army next? How are you getting on with your pledges?

I'd do some necrons.
For sure a triarch Stalker, then i'll see... i have 20 warriors that i absolutely need to complete, given that they are the only ones i own that are equipped with the gauss reaper

Glad to see this be back!

So last month I built the GW model of the month Ork Nob, 5 Grimghast Reapers, and converted a trio of Spirit Hosts from some old Brett Men-at-Arms.
I managed to paint the hosts, Ork, my Guardian of Souls, and have started doing a monthly model roulette (every month I pick a selection of random models from my piles of shame and roll a dice to pick one) which was Kharn the Betrayer. Most of the pictures are on my Painting log: Here

But here's a couple select pics:

For this month once again I did my random Ratty Roulette, giving the models not chosen last time a 50% chance to stay in, and ended up with the list below:

1 – 3 Khazâd Guard
2 – 2 Ratling Snipers
3 - Queek Headtaker (painted as Squeek Captian of the Council Guard)
4 – Fellowship Aragorn
5 - A Sister of Battle (painted as a random Order)
6 - A Necromancer

Dice roll came up as a 6 so it's spoopy Necromancer re-paint!

Nearing the end of another month now and not sure how many pledges we still have actually!

In terms of what I have painted this month for my Big Waaagh I have gotten through a lot actually.

Wierdnob Shaman
Killa-Boss on Great Gnashtoof
Murk-Nob with Belcha-banner
Killa-Boss with Stabba Grot

Next on the list is more Dominion, some more Gutrippaz, a Swampcalla Shaman and maybe Hedkrakkas Madmob.

I'll update with pictures soon.

I've managed to build, minor convert, and paint the Primaris Assault Intercessor as a Charadon Astra Marine (with my attempt at freehand on the chainsword and shoulder pads)
I also have built a Night of Shrouds on Nightmare (one part has been left off prior to painting.)

I finished the last six chainrasps and have based 20/30.
I managed to paint one classic Dwarf Thunderer inbetween the basing.
Taddeus is mostly painted apart from some highlights and the dreaded freehand text.
I've made a start on Reiky but not sure he'll be done by the end of the month.
I've all but finished 9/10 of the Grimghast Reapers (the bell guy I noticed had still too much of a gap showing on his back so he's been put aside for now.) who just need a few highlights and rust effect.

Hey all.

Have been very quiet in terms of posts due to a combination of real life things including a family health scare (thankfully all good in the end!) But wasn't idle. We're just before Christmas and aside from the Abhorrent Arch Regent (who is at least basecoated and will be ready by New Year and a couple of bits on the Bishop, all that's left is to fit the little craft bells to one of the Terrorgheists as church bells and It's all done!

The Final tally stands at 2 Terrorgheists, 1(rather infected and puking up green filth) Zombie Dragon, 2 Ghoul Kings (1 as a Bishop of Sigmar, both magnetised so they can be on foot or mounted)
2 crypt ghasts (alt models)
50 ghouls (20 are Frostgrave cultists painted up as degenerated cannibals eating guts, but they're counts as ghouls)
1 Flayer Courtier, 15 Crypt Flayers (3 reaper gargoyle things, 6 3d printed)
1 Varghulf (3d printed, same line as the 6 flayers) An abhorrent arch regent (80% done) the charnel throne and all the endless spells. I even made a grisly objective marker so all told not bad for 6 months reckon, especially as my output was spotty at times. A nice playable army, and it's always fun to see a project grow.
