Hey Thorin, and welcome back
First off, we have to keep in mind that Abhorash sired five (if I recall correctly) vampires of his own, at a relativity early age. The timespan from the fall of ancient Lahmia, to Walach's usurping of the Ordo Draconis Knightly order, is quite long (we're talking thousands of years here). It is so unreasonable to think that lesser blood dragons were made in this stretch of time by the other get of Abhorash?
Having the Blood Dragons as predominantly knights is fine, as this is arguably the age where heavy knights rule the battlefields, but it doesn't make all that much sense that all of Walach's original spawn would have the patience and perseverance to wait until the age of proper Knights dawned, before making their mark.
The reason I chose Gladiators, is not for the fame aspect, even though I can see that even Blood Dragons would enjoy having their names etched in stone in most cases, but for the sheer challenge they would be presented with. I would call it a blood dragons dream to get to hone his skill in combat against people and beasts from all corners of the world. Not needing to travel constantly, having to search out the challenges, but instead having them presented to them on a regular basis, sounds to me like the perfect set-up, as it also would open up more time for training.
The fact is, that is Blood Dragons are to remain a Knights only army, it will become extremely one-dimensional as well, and like GW (whom for the time being seems to throw in a small handful of never heard of before units in each new army book), I have to have the same bit of flexibility to be able to make lists that work.
That said however, I try my very best to make sure that the units/items/characters etc fit withing the confines of the existing lore material, or at least is considered feasible as far as the warhammer setting and storyline goes. One of the problems in fact, is that even with all the old army books to go on and so forth, there is not really THAT much detailed lore material to go on for some of the bloodlines, so one is often forced to make guesses and assumptions to fill in the blanks. This also grants one a bit of wiggle-room however, which is the good part.
Haven't had time to get to work on the chariot yet. Been in london for a UFC event, and had to travel for work when I got home. Hope to get to work on it soon.
Thanks for the feedback Thorin. Always appreciated
