Did you see the size of this thing? I'm loving it! Brings a sort of epicness back to warhammer...armies and their monsters...but then the cannons kind of take away from it. But still, it's an impressive model. It figures Chaos would get something to trump undead. GW loves its chaos players.

str 10, 10 wounds, -3 to hit, 10 toughness. Cause he's nurgle. And he's big. Which means he just spooges lame.

Steapa, is that accurate, or hyperbole?

If that's accurate, what's our main theory on beating it, then? Doom & Darkness plus screams? Khalida plus a hundred skeleton archers? Tar pit / redirect all game and just focus on killing everything else?
No way is that accurate, just hyperbole, haven't seen leaks of the rules yet.!

On one side I am repulsed by the big models they are focussing on now, and on the other I'm drawn to it. For me the horde armies with ranked infantrymen clashing against each other is the cool thing about Warhammer. But at the same time I have spent so much time painting and assembling small models that my hobbyist-perspective forces me to acknowledge that it will be nice having more big models so that I can spend more time on details and don't have to paint one gazillion Zombies.

I have more than enough infantrymen, now it's time for me to focus on Cavalry and monsters of my own.... And this guy seems like a pleasure to paint. Or a terrifying experience. Either way, I may pick up one just to have one.

Random, but did anyone notice the price increase in the Glottkin book as opposed to Nagash? 105 (at the gaming store I bought mine at) to 165.

The good thing is though that for the most part neither big monsters or large hordes is excluding the other both have strenghts and weaknesses, this is what makes it ok to me, people can the choose what they like whether that is a big hulking monster or huge units of inf. or a mix of both.! And both look very good on the table if done right.

I'm getting the book and I'll get the glottkin eventually. I'm very close to postponing my rats and making my nex endeavour a nurgle based legion of chaos army.!

Never cared for nurgle much. Was hoping for a Bloodthirster on steroids to come back. Then again...WoC don't need any more good stuff.

@Bullhax: I haven't started on them yet, but I have grand plan for that army - gonna make a tundra-theme gaming table for it and all :) I think I'll go with Hellstriders and greenstuff the Steed of Slaanesh so that it doesn't have legs but is a serpent instead.

So apparently glottkin is initiative 1.. I am having a matchup this weekend at my local GW store Nagash vs Glottkin. I'm very tempted to be really cheesy and summon up a unit of 8 sepulchural stalkers to shoot him to death in probably one turn.. (uses initiative in place of toughness)
