This is my entry for the Golden Bat. All the miniature has been painted with NMM and the cloack has freehand on both sides (the outside freehand is influenced by Altars Of Madness cover). Here comes the photos:

Darkthroner, the model seems great, but the yellow light you used is masking some of the painting colour and some of the best details are out of focus... if you want, you could take other pictures under white light. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will try to take better photos, I agree with you the yellow light mask some details but I don't know a lot about photography

@ U_M The comments on CMON are not doing justice to the model.I only have one. You did put alot of effort in transforming his hand to a skeleton hand. Some better pics of that would show it better.

Hi, i am using a Canon 400D with a tripod, setting is ISO 200, F13 , shutter speed 8". Background a plain color wallpaper from LCD monitor. Last but not least Photoshop is needed to help the photo more clearer and sharp to do this you need Photoshop and use the following steps "Filter -> Sharpen -> smart sharpen or just sharpen "

*No light box require.

I must agree that there are some fantastic entries this year!!! Great work guys! Unfortunately i can't finish my model on time, so i withdraw my entry. I am a bit sad about it because that was probably the best thing i've painted so far. It's my first NMM try and i am satisfied with it. I have photos of my work in my Plog so please come by and post your comments I really wanted to participate this year Anyway i hope i'll be able to do it next year. Good luck everyone!

If you find yourself at all thinking "How could I have done better??" don't fret, feel free to ask for feedback around here and just keep practicing. Practice makes perfect and competitions like this are an excellent way to push yourself. I'm proud of you all!

So I come onto the board and do a bit of lurking, see a message in my inbox talking about a painting competition thread. Thought it would be a good time to focus on painting some models and really see what I could bring out, then I see the competition.

You all should be very proud of the work you've done, there are some amazing pieces in here. I thought it would be fun to enter, but then I realized there is no way I'm gonna even compare to these guys who for all rights should be working for 'Eavy Metal.

Just inspiring work guys, very well done.
