It's not at all poor, it's a very good TT standard paintjob, and with some more practice you will improve expotentially (dunno if that's spelled right, but that's why I'm a tattoo artist and not an english teacher), when I was learning to paint there was no internet forums for this sort of thing, so I just pestered the nob ends* in my local GW (and then became a nob end myself for a while to pay for art college) until I came up with a method of painting I was happy with. It's taken 17 years, but I'm getting there

Don't stress if you see someone's done a better paintjob, ask them how they've done it, I'd be suprised and disgusted if they didn't answer

The long and short of it is you were proud enough of that model to enter it in a painting competition, stay proud. I nearly got sick with envy after I'd posted my entry and saw some of what I was up against, but I painted a model to the best of my ability at this time, next year I'll be better, and so will you
