The Plan:
Both of the Lords will go with the Ghouls and the Necromancer with one of the Zombie units. The idea is to keep the infantry behind the fast stuff which will be out on the first turn wreaking as much havoc on dangerous units with the -1 leadership and screams. I play a lot against Ogres and Lizardmen so my goal is to do as much damage to the danger units with the Terrorgheists and Hellsteed Vamp. Then move in and hopefully take care of the rest of the army with my infantry. I dunno if it'll work. Your thoughts would be welcome. One thing I'm unsure about is whether or not the Death Mage should be Level 2 or not.

Love the list. I'm a fan of the Strigoi.

I would a bit weary of 300pts of 2W T4 flying around, but I like the fast tag team with the TG with the Aura. Good excuse to make a sweet model anyways. BSB no less.

I'd advise maybe grabbing some points from core to get you Master Necro the Channeling Staff and an unholy lodestone for the corpse cart.

And who is the death mage?

Nice list! I have been thinking about something around the same lines myself!

How have you thought on playing the Hellsteed/ TG combo given that the TGs probably cannot march most of the time (more than12" away from general on foot most of the time)?

SpeedyGoat already highlighted my thoughts there. Vampires on foot with red fury and fighty gear seems to be very effective this time around. something to consider.

AH! Sorry the BSB is the Death Mage. My hope is to get the Hellheart out of the way before my main casters get into the fray. It's also there in the hopes of getting Doom and Darkness. But with the sniping spells around it should be beneficial even if he decides not to use the Hellheart. Him being worth so many points and a break point makes him very useful for diverting attention from the Terrorgheists and he is relatively survivable with the Charmed Shield and 4+ ward. The fact that the Terrorgheists can't march shouldn't, in theory, be too much of an issue as the units they hit will hopefully be too damaged to risk a charge against two of them. Also if the opponent gets first turn and moves forward I would want to charge in with all three things in my turn and hopefully do a significant amount of damage with screams and close combat.

Personally I'm too big a fan of Balefire to part with it. However, I agree with you on the other stuff. What do you think of dropping the Zombies down to 39 each and putting either necro in each, giving the master necro the channeling staff, the other necro level 2, and giving the Ghouls a Ghast?

Ghasts are always handy and that lvl 2 upgrade is always helpful for getting the spells your want on your lvl 4, just make sure you roll the lvl 2's spells first. Those zombies cut for points will be back in no time.

Also your Vampire can't get access death unless he takes forbidden lore (only vampires and shadows). You could drop beguile and dread knight to get it if you really wanted. Alternatively getting another IoN wouldn't be a bad idea as he and the TG will mostly be out of range of the necros.

I agree! Nah everyone has access to Vampire, Shadow, or Death.
