Hey, im new to this forum so i thought i would be friendly and post an Army log.

Basically the fluff is somehow a vampire got up north, didnt like civalised life too much and started hanging out with the beardies and norsemen.

Etc. etc.

theme is snow[obviously!!] and subtle hints of beards, axes, horns, and round shields.

Colour theme is White and various shades of Blue.

Ive not done it yet but ive found by accident that if you put one layer of flock and then another is gives a decent snow effect

Nicely themed army, i like how the skeletons are blue tinged which ties them in with the wintery theme, looking forward to see how this project continues as I will be creating my own Mortal Chaos Norscan themed army after I finish my Vampire Counts.

Cool. I really love the Black Knights and the Wraiths, the WK is a little top heavy for my tastes but that's just me.

Nice painting and interesting army, you might want to make the spectral vamp the BSB, helps keeps the wraiths around with the +1CR

Very nice work quina2525, I really think that blue suits the skeletons well. Could I recommend however that you base your troops with sand and then add the stone/snow as it will leave them looking more dynamic.

great work on skellies BK and wight king. But I'm not really sure I like the spirits, they blend into the bases too much. Its too much white. Maybe you could give them a more blue look?

yeah they were a quick fix, they too me 20 mins to do haha

I think im gonna paint their weapons blue to match the cairn wraiths scythes, but they'll do for the now.

im not gonna use them, there more for a 'just incase i ever get wind of undeath' off.Ever.

I would suggest that you wash the spirit hosts with watered down "Asurmen Blue" (or "Thraka Green" if you prefer green ghosts). It will help the ghosts stand out from the base.

p.s oh and i painted all of the sides of the bases grey, leaving the white at the top

In the name of all things unholy don't water down washes o_o water messes with the medium and throws the surface tension off meaning it stops working like the washes are designed to.
If you need to thin them then you'd be better using matte medium.
