The Rise of the Von Kerryathe Legion [Picture Heavy]

[SethDrallitoc]

Step 1 Construction.

[Josef]

looking good cant wait to see him painted.

[The Dark Sheep]

Looking good (You will weather that "knife" of his a bit more, right?).

[dictator]

The skull looks exceptional too. I can't wait like so many others for the paint job to be complete.

[SethDrallitoc]

completed green-stuff primed and began some base-coats:

[Josef]

thats freaking creapy...i love it =)

[The Dark Sheep]

*repeats what josef said*

[dictator]

Very ugly, whew if there was any smell to that I'd be running away!

[Disciple of Nagash]

*Repeats what josef and the Dark Sheep said and adds* I want it!!

[SethDrallitoc]

Did some more work on my Wight Lord:

[dictator]

The dragon on the helm and of course the dagger to the side were great. I am not sold on the addition to the horses head. Maybe if you grinded it out a bit more it would seem like it fit on the head.

My favorite part of that model is on the front of the armor on the horse. The skull emblem. Where exactly did you find that gem of a piece?

[SethDrallitoc]

It's one of the dangling skulls from a tomb kings banner. Cut in half and glued to a thin slice of movement tray sprue (which has a round cross-section).

More WIP giant pictures.

[TMS]

Wholly awesome.

I looks simply great. Nice attention to details as well, what with the dragging marks in the sand with his limping left foot.

[The Dark Sheep]

If it gets any deader now... (It looks awesome).

[ironlord]

sweet work on the left leg, the perfect cliche
can i suggest a bit of blood on his mouth, just to keep the cliche train going, he has a free hand too!
looks to me like it could hold some brains!
just imagine that one giant attacking another to get its brains!
i know there isnt much in there but it would be realy wierd to watch...

[dictator]

His flesh really is rotting. Never seen such a great job of conveying that before!

[SethDrallitoc]

Yesterdays WIP shots:

[dictator]

Oh I can see his nails. Very dirty and nasty. What else will you be putting on the base?

[SethDrallitoc]

Today's rather exciting WIP. Exciting for me if not for you. The creation of the molds that I will be using for my last 2 skeleton units.

Each troop will have a helmet and a sword hanging from a plasticard belt:

[The Dark Sheep]

Oh does this mean they're gonna have helmets? In that case I'd recommend hollowing it out before you complete the mould (unless you're just gonna chop off the top of the heads) because that takes alot of time.

[SethDrallitoc]

[illusionarypresence]

am really looking forward to seeing these guys completed. spear skeles look soo much better than HW+S.

are you just pressing GS into the moulds? i guess its gonna take a reasonable amount of time if you are?

[SethDrallitoc]

I hope to have these 4 90% finished by the end of the day. I have not yet finished the sculpt of their shields though.

I am going to be casting 8 pieces a day. 4 swords and 4 helmets. This is for 2 units of 35 spearmen. So yes it will take a while. I will either get bored of the slow process and make more molds or I will make an effort to paint each 4 as they are completed (so I can watch them grow).

[Wolf Fang]

Impressive work mate. Like the work you're doing on the skeletons in particular. Any chance of a picture of the entire army?

Cheers, Wolfie
