So, here's a fun lord build that I just thought of. I'm not sure if it'll actually work at all in game, but it's based around the idea of epically maximizing the Death Shriek provided by by the Skabscrath sword.
The Screamer - 460 Points
Ghoul King
Skabscrath
Potion of Strength
Dragonbane Gem
Curse of the Revenant
Aura of Dark Majesty
Beguile (or Fear Incarnate, your choice)
Essentially, he can perform a Death Shriek with 4 wounds instead of his base 3, AND his opponent is at -1 LD if within 6". He has the Dragonbane Gem, so he'll get a 2+ ward save in case some cheeky fool comes along and negates his Regen with flaming attacks, and the Potion of Strength gives him some extra hitting power with his 7 charge attacks. The guy's only real combat weakness is Killing Blow, as it'll ignore his Regen and bypass the Dragonbane ward save. If you take Beguile, he'll be forcing opponents to re-roll hits against him unless they pass a LD test with a -4 modifier. Or, you can do the Fear Incarnate thing to make your opponent re-roll successful -1 LD Fear tests, which is always nice.
So, it's a truckload of points and a bit of a one-trick pony. But it'll sure surprise the crap out of your opponent when your general starts screaming his head off! Thoughts?
