I mean c'mon. The Black Templars have completely shown the finger to the Codex Astartes and other Marine chapters.

Not really. Helbretcht took command of the Astartes fleet elements during the Third War for Armageddon and the Templars broke ranks with the Crimson Fists. Plus the Templars also fought alongside the Ultramariens in the Balur Crusade.

Inquisition hates 'em

Not really. Certain elements of the Inquisiton are suspicous but the Templars have worked fine with Inquistors before.

I must confess to being an Ultramarines player myself, but then i've painted a lot of Eldar and Tzeentch stuff in the past so the choice was more a case of knowing how to paint blue well. They do seem to get an unnecessary amount of attention though, and they're always extremely powerful.

I particularly like some of the stuff in the new Blood Angels codex for just how close it teeters on the edge of "balanced" and "overpowered". Deep Striking Landraiders just made me chuckle at the relative impracticality of getting a huge tank to reliably land where you want it to.
