Hi, The last thing I wrote about was the construction of a list, and after numerous calculations, attempts, and side events, I started collecting my first models. Finally, I decided to slowly increase my collection to have enough models to freely try new solutions on the table. Due to the rapidly increasing group of players in my neighborhood, we started playing immediately on small points to learn the system, etc.
The first thing that fell into my hands was the Start Collecting and the VL, as well as the Deathrattle Skeletons box. Soon, I would like to post them here, but first, I wanted to share a certain story and surprise that happened right after my purchases.
The story:
During a game of 40k, I started comparing the gameplay with AoS. From the conversation, it turned out that one of my players tried to play the fantasy version of Warhammer years ago and has a vampire unit that he can give away because it takes up space in his cupboard. I thought, why not? It could be a model or few for a new collection. At our next game, he brought this box:
Containing: 20 zombies, 20 skeletons, 10 ghouls, 1 corpse cart, and additionally, two old, metal necromancer models.
It may not be anything extraordinary, but when I received it, my eyes lit up. Older models that are not so easy to get always have some kind of uniqueness to them. So the first thing I did was to try to revive these models. Many of the skeletons were broken (one is missing, but I'll manage to REVIVE him i promise), and the corpse cart looked as it did and was poorly glued together. Additionally, the glue used was applied quite "massively" and had plastic-melting properties, which required some cutting and patching with green stuff in places.
To start, I want to show a few photos taken while reassembling the corps cart model (there aren't many, and they are in a specific quality, but I realized that it would be worth taking photos before/after while I finished with the model) and the end result in the case of Vampire Lord and Necromancer.
Starting with the corpse cart and its beginnings, the ribs of the cart were glued in the wrong place additionally they were strained and one finally broke, the coachman consisted of other parts and as it turned out he was equipped with 3 hands (badly glued part of the corpse goad) I managed to unglue the whole thing, find other elements and with the help of green staf patch the holes. The zombies pulling the carriage were missing few parts and it took a while to find the parts but finally managed to complete them.

And the results:
The bases have not yet arrived for the old models, moreover, I do not know whether after the adventures with the old glue I can deal with changing the bases (maybe I will glue one on top of the other, it remains to be seen), decorating the bases will be done when I finish some of the models to organize the materials and ideas for a coherent set. Finally, pictures of Necromancer and VL, perhaps not many highlights yet and the VL armor itself may be changed when I master NMM.
In front of me there are still 60 skeletons (20 GG and 40 regular) and 20 zombies, the first clashes of this bunch are already behind me ( skirmishes for 650 points, if anyone is interested I can describe the first impressions of live games in another thread).
For now that's it, good luck in the fight against the gray plastic.
