The Watchmen, Anyone seen it?

Has anyone the watchmen yet? what did they think of it? If you havent are you going to?

I have to admit there was a few plot twists in it that kept me confused yet hooked for a while but i think i've kind of figured them out now.

sex scenes were not bad either - Silk Spectre (the daughter of the original one, Nice )

Also have to say the idea of advertising the film with a smiley with a blood drop on it brilliant really, although still not sure if it had any real significance?.....

But what i definetly didnt like was Dr Manhattan walking around with his n*b out half the time

I've not seen it, but I really really really want to - especially if its got sex scenes in it. I saw some trailers and it looked great, so I will watch it when I get the chance.

Twas a great movie. Manhattan or Dickter as we call him now was a little annoying. But as long as giant blue wangs don't bother you, its a good movie to see.

They did mess with the ending a little which was a tad bothersome, but logical.

A great movie in my opinion. They were pretty faithful to the novel (as much as they could be really with the transition from book to film) which was definitely a good thing, and the bits they did change (the end mainly) were probably necessary. The big blue wang was a bit...off-putting...but if you can blank that out then you should enjoy it

Yes the blue wang was off putting especially when there was three or four of them at the same time and the fact that when he was doing silk spectre his mind was on his work. I sure as hell know what mine would be on and it aint my work.
And I'm going to get the Graphic novel just to see their ending but the film one was very good.

I'll actually be going to see this movie with my brother tomorrow evening. At first I thought that it was a joke or something, the poster really didn't strike me as anything serious. I guess I was wrong, seeing as it has originated from a comic and all, heheh.

It's bit more than "just a comic book". Watchmen won a lot of serious literary awards and is probably one of the best graphic novels this side of Neil Gaiman.

Yes. Good graphic novel, good movie.

I disapprove of graphic nudity and sex scenes. I find them crass and unnecessary. However, it's clearly a successful marketing tool that appeals to the majority of the target audience, and as such I can see their reasoning. I still disapprove.

However, the movie was excellent. The exploration of psychoses, the very definition of heroes and how they relate to reality are all excellent. The plot line was gripping, and the characters were extremely deep. It's one of my favorite movies ever now.

I would recommend watching it, if you're not overly sensitive to nudity, sex or EXTREME VIOLENCE. Seriously, there are some pretty graphically violent moments, so weak of heart beware! And I have to re-state, I seriously disapprove of the nudity and sex. However, a fantastic movie. Four and three-quarters stars.
