I actually have a book of all of Nostrodamus's prophecies.

What is the name of the book?

Kaspar Hauser who appeared from nowhere in Germany with no knowledge of who he was who was finally murdered by a mysterious masked man who been trying to kill him for the five years.

Tunguska: What could possibly explode above the Tunguska forest with the power of nuclear weapons leaving a massive crater without leaving any trace of radiation.

Your views on these two?

I think you would enjoy reading about Rendlesham Forest, and Mothman speaks for itself.

Well, Tunguska forest seems relatively simple: Wiki article.

As for Rendlesham Forest, theres all you need to read here. I can't personally think of any explanations.

The Mongolian death worm and Mothman both seem to be highly unlikely creatures to me, althopugh I will admit the eye witness accounts of the Mothman seem consistant, if a little unbelievable.
Lusca and St Augusta Phenomena, Oak Island, Borely Rectory and The Grey Man of Ben Macdhui all seem to have perfectly logical explanations, or have been hyped up beyond their simple roots. I don't think they have much mystery around them.

Nostrodamus the new revelations by John Hogue.

I don't really have any opinions on Kaspar Hauser or the Tungaska incident because there isn't much info.

Turned out I was familiar with Rendlesham Forest after all. I just didn't remember straight away.:D

I've just realised that I have confused Rendlesham with something else.

It's another wood which is located in England, and there have been many accounts of unexplained phenomena in the actual woods.

Mysterious fogs, hoofed-human sized footprints, a picture taken with a black shape and a goats head which wasn't when the photo was taken, dogs disappearing and growing nervous around the border, also accounts of UFO activity above and around the forest.

And for the life of me I cannot remember the name.

Do either of you recall the story of the farmhouse in America which for one night was terrorised by little green aliens which resembled goblins?

I think there is more possibility of the Mongolian Death Worm to be some form of snake than a giant, flesh eating worm.

As for Mothman, the eye witness accounts do seem very consistent, and there seems to be no link of the eye witnesses getting together and coming up with such a story.

Thank you Simon. That's one more book to add to my ever growing collection.

Which is sadly true.

Giant Jellyfish. Real?

I do recall the story of the alien siege of a farmhouse in America. As I recall the aliens were bullet proof.

With regard to the forest that you can't remember don't worry about it. The British isles is the most haunted country in the world and probably has more than one forest exhibiting the phenomona you described.xD

That's the one. The state was Kentucky. Oh, I can still recall the pictures that went with it. They looked too much like Goblins.

Can't argue with that xD

I'll remember eventually. It is fascinating and difficult to say it is all false.

Another one which happened in Britain, the body of a dead man appearing at the top of a coal pile, with no visible signs of how he managed to get up there.

(I think you're right, Britain is really haunted)

And it's lucky I live close to a haunted abbey, a haunted hall, a haunted castle (complete with Grey Lady and headless ghost), and a fair few things have happened in my house which haven't been explained.

Sirihar- Really I live next to a haunted bungalow where a man beheaded his wife back in the 80s, A haunted pub with a haunted mirror, a haunted childrens nursery, a haunted mansion, at least two haunted roads and a graveyard where a woman was buried alive.xD

Yeah our flat is haunted as well, we actually had a pic on an old mobile phone of a ghost. You could see the hair and everything. Was a bit freaky as I took the pic in the hallway, and as I looked down the hallway I couldn't see anything, but looking through the phone camera I could see the women stood there.

We also have a friend with a haunted place, my missus's mum has a haunted bedroom (everyone staying it has seen a dark shadowy creature that skitters about the room at night), our previous flat had some weird stuff going on..........

Yeah, the UK is a pretty haunted place.

Or a lot of people in the UK have over active imaginations. I'm a sceptic when it comes to all things ghostly.. I've probably watched 'Most Haunted' too many times to think that ghost hunters are anything less than total lunatics.

I am intrigued however by Nostrodamus' prophecies.. any more of those?

I agree Knightofni, there are indeed many people who have overactive imagination. I am somewhat of a sceptical believer. By this I mean I don't treat every knock or bump as a ghost, as 90% of the time they are not supernatural. However I am not so close minded to believe that it is just not possible, and as I have actually seen ghosts with my own two eyes, whilst being completely sober etc, I do believe.

I think in the UK it's a mixture of Imagination brought on by really good horror stories, and perhaps yes we are more haunted over here. I must admit I am sceptical about most supernatural activity, but I have also seen what I believed to be a ghost in my old house. Similar to DoN it was at the end of the hallway next to the bedroom, I saw it as I came up the stairs then it just vanished. So I have an open mind, but I still think scince can explain most things.

What has and does happen in my house is more poltergeist activity than ghost activity.

An impressive list ;) A nursery? Haunted by whom?

I think I have to agree that 90% of things aren't related at all to ghosts etc, but then there is always that 10%, and I like to keep an open mind.

Has anybody ever read any of Peter Underwood's books?

The nursery is haunted by a little girl called charlotte. I own at least one of Peter Underwood's books. The A - Z of British Ghosts.

A very interesting place where you live.

I have that and four others. Do you find him to be believable or a good read?

There is a theory that links in with tunguska, mass amounts of glass in the desert, and other events.
Scientists today believe that events such as tunguska, and other similar explosions in earths natural hitsories are caused by airbust events.
When a large meteroid or comet enters the earths atmosphere, they rarely hit the ground. The air compression caused in front of the object as it flies into the atmoshphere generates immense ammounts of heat, usually causing the object to burn up or explode. If it explodes near enough to the ground, and is of a decent size, it can cause immense explosions, many times more destructive than an actual impact. Tests have shown that these unique explosions cause the objects trail of fire to blossom out into a huge fireball in the upper atmoshpere. The explosions shock wave can knock down trees, and the heat from the explosion can melt sand into glass.
Similar events have happened all across the world, but Tunguska is the largest in human memory.
Far older events have been many times larger, with one in the desert in africa being an explanation for large amounts of glass (made of superheated sand) being scattered across an enormous area of the desert.
It is believed that there was once a massive, multiple airburst event in asia, which would have wiped out much of life in that part of asia.
Due to this theory, it is now believed that it is dangerous to try and destroy incoming comets/meteoroids that could be dangerous to civilisation, as fragmenting the object would make multiple airburst events be likely.

Okay I was watching a rerun of Strange But True and the subject was Timeslips where people briefly slip back or forwards in time.

Examples: A woman at home watching the news heard about an explosion at a nearby chemical plant at Lunchtime. However the the explosion didn't happen until 16:00 that day.

Two couples on holiday in France stayed in a hotel for a night. The windows didn't have any glass and the people who owned it wore very old clothes. As it was cheap the couples returned there on the way back home only to find a crumbling ruin. It turned out there had been a hotel there about eighty years before. The interesting thing about this case is that photographs they took of the hotel all failed to develop properly. Whats even stranger is that none of the people they encountered said anything about the very modern car they were driving or the fact that they paid for their stay using modern money.

What do you guys think?

This one sounds horribly fake. Seriously. I'm struggled not to laugh my ass off while I read it.

Convenient really that none of their photos developed.. god, if that had happened there would have been 'proof'. It sounds like said couples spent a little too long in the sun and decided to have a little bit of telly time; would have been more believable if they'd said they'd been abducted by a man with a blue policebox and then gone to this place 80 years ago.

Not sure I get this one.. did the news programme at lunchtime talk about the accident or did she just hear it.. like a little voice in her ear?

I lump this in with ghosts, we all know that time is not linear, it is only how we percieve it

i believe incidents like this, and the ghosts we see are possibly distortions in time/space or us temporarially percieving time in a non linear fashion

deja vu?
moments of insight?

Gravity can cause time dilation, who knows whats happening in the cosmos and could be subjecting to our/affecting our gravity.

The fact that the flow of time is not a constant in the universe really pisses me off sometimes. Like, says its x time over here, but over in another galaxy its still the 18th century on earth, but it isnt because earth is over here where time flows the way it does here, but still.....my head hurts.
When I was younger I had regular clairvoyant experiences.
It would always happen when I was alone in a room, then I would hear, plain as day, someone I know talking. Then I would call out, and it would turn out they arent there at all and no one else in the house had heard a thing. Then a few days or weeks later, that same person I heard who wasnt there would say the exact same thing that I had heard them say.
