Yeah, I spent a good five minutes thinking the computer was loading before I realized that the pictures weren't links:slapface:

The list on the side is all good though;)

Black Templars and Sisters of Battle are an unholy alliance?! I can't imagine two more like-minded armies. Don't they both love the Emperor and hate everything else, especially witches & psychics (same thing, really)?

I can't see the details for Unholy Alliance etc. just a list of products. xD

Having said that, my Necrons can apparently ally with...

- CSM: Fair enough, they're always up to something.

- Grey Knights: Err...

- Orks: Very possible with Blood Axes.

- Tau: Farsight perhaps? I somehow doubt the Greater Good would ally with a race of soulless machines...

- Black Templars: ??!?!?!!!!one!!11!!!!

- Blood Angels: Oh, they just *had* to taunt us, didn't they? They just HAD to bring up the BA-'cron "brofist moment".

- Dark Angles: Erm...

- Imperial Guard: We're going to need a lot of Mindshackle Scarabs...

- Sisters of Battle: Maybe the metallic Necron form can, uh, "appeal" to the Canoness...?

- Space Marines: I've given up explaining the Marine variants at this stage.

- Space Wolves: Just...just...WHY?!

So some interesting choices for the Necrons. We get everybody except Tyranids, Eldar, Dark Eldar, and Daemons.

... why can Tau ally with Daemons? Why can Eldar ally with DARK Eldar?! Why can Black Templars ally with ELDAR?! Their own rulebook forbids the allied Eldar fielding any Psykers! Oh, these alliance rules do make me giggle. :rofl2:

Eldar allying with Dark Eldar isn't that silly, sure they hold past grudges enough to war occasionally, but basically they still think that they are the master race and so prefer each other to anyone else. Kind of.

Eldar and Dark Eldar is fine. They are both the same parent race. They even shared army list entries (Harlequins... a Venom / Vyper are very similiar.... Jetbikes, etc) It make a lot more sense than some of the other items on that list...

Sisters and Templars should be just fine, not Unholy.. ?!? Moreso then Sisters and a lot of the SM variants listed as Grudgingly...

Chaos Deamons and Tau is pretty out there...

Dark Angels should be Grudging with almost all other SM variants, except Ultras.. (BA - the thrist, SW - feral traits, etc)

Can Daemons even sense tau? I remember a story about a daemon army ambushing kroot and it turns out there is a whole tau force there as well they could not sense. So maybe it is not so much a alliance just more of "Well I'll be damned.... There where Tau here also!"

Blood Angels: Oh, they just *had* to taunt us, didn't they? They just HAD to bring up the BA-'cron "brofist moment".

The BA-Cron Brofist moment makes total and complete logical sense. It was a choice between;
1# Let the necrons get eaten by tyranids, then also get eaten by tyranids. Result- Wasted lives and gene seed, tyranids threatening imperial worlds.
2# Temporarily cease firing at the necrons, kick some tyranid ass. Then you (The Blood Angels) are still alive to kick xenos ass another day, and probably hunt down those necrons anyway.

Just because the Astartes are intolerant does not mean they are stupid. Blind adherence to the rules (*cough* black templars *cough*) can actually be bad for the Imperium.

It does look pretty nice, some of the changes look like they'll be cool, but likely forgotten.
Snap fire sounds interesting, I wonder whether I would be able to Blade Storm as well?...

...that would put people off charging my Dire Avengers somewhat...

EDIT: I've just realised how silly overwatch/snap fire could get.
I'm assuming they are going to place limitations on it.
Can you imaging charging a unit of Fire Dragons only to get blown into molten slag in response?
Nasty...

Orks should be grudging alliance with everybody execpt Imperium and Tau everybody else makes sense to me

I think overwatch/snap fire is at bs1 or reduced bs.

Fairly sure it's BS1.

It's also similarly very hard to hit fliers in "flying mode", but then they can only pivot 90 degrees before their move, and must move a minimum of 18" (combat speed) or 24" (cruising speed) straight forward. They can go off the board and get put into a special type of reserves.

They can also go into hover mode if they have the ability; they might all get it free though, unsure. Anyway, fliers in flying mode are hard to hit unless you have Interceptor weapons (which you can take as a fortification).

Well I'm not an Apocalypse player so I wouldn't know. xD It could be, but there may be some differences, what with Hull Points etc.

Also, when fliers die they "crash and burn" and hurt units below them...

So, instead of giving the Tau a new book they let them ally with any other army except from nids........and also make up the fact that necrons dont have psykers by letting them ally with most armies. Scary though, an Ork player with a doomsday ark ...... Or even better, Tau with a bloodthirster, bunch of bloodletters and other scary deamons stuff that I forrget the names of, "who sucks at close combat now?"

I'm giddy over the choice of allies... I think I may choose Orks simply for their huge contrast to Necrons. It would make a nice dynamic to my army, and is also more explainable (Blood Axes!) than Grey Knights...
