How does it look more vampiric? It doesn't, and it would take a fair amount of work to make it look vampy..

I dis-agree. Use a vampire or empire shield, fill in the lines on his armour, paint him in a darker paint scheme with a pale skin. Tada a vampire.

I would even keep the necklace as it could be the black periapt. The sword is long and would work. Could always cut that off and use a basic sword or something.

That's a fair amount of work still to make it a vampire... I look forward to seeing what you can do with it though if you are thinking of making a log about it?

This model just oozes vampire lord, that is pretty much the common web response, and I agree.

And me too. It's elegant, and with a dark scheme in the armour would look great. Because not everyone likes the new I-grow-a-mammoth-fang-in-my-back vampires:rolleyes:

This model even with the symbols of Slannesh hardly seems to constitute being Chaos, still saying that I wouldn't want it in my Vampire Counts army.

Heh, I didn't even notice the slaanesh sign :P

To me, it looks more like an hybrid elf/human (human with elven armour). If it wasn't for the shield I would've guessed it to be a High Elf Special Character without the pointy ears.

I think that it would make a good vamp I would even keep the majority of the lines on it makes the armor look elagant only ones I would remove are tehones on the shoulder pads and toss the sheilsd...crap I think I will be getting another model =\.

I dont think it looks elven. Just doesnt fit, too "rough" so to speak. The Slaaneshi part is easiely removed. Fill the slaaneshi marks on the shoulderpads with greenstuff and use a different shield.

What makes it a good vampire is the purposeful walk and face, it just says "I do not fear you, you are on the lower end of the food chain and you will die".

Danceman.

I think it would make a great vamp model with a suitable paint job, far better than the latest GW vampire releases. As Danceman said, the arrogant look says it all, and we have a decent armoured vamp for AoD.

While I agree that this model is easily converted into a vampiric character, has anyone noticed that his...thighs are somewhat...exposed, I guess you could paint them metal, but what made GW think that that was ok?

All the fluff for my characters involves them been perverted in one way or another, so bare legs is fine with me!

He's Slanneshi, NOTHING is to explicit for them (oh, yeah, except for the old deamonettes..... NIPPLES!!!! Bad. Lol, such nice sculpts they were too.... :'()

The only thing I don't like about this model (if thinking of it as a vamp) is the fact that he's smiling a sheepish smile...
That's not a sheepish smile. At 5:36, that's a sheepish smile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRtKAQJUc3g

Sigvald has a smug, cold sneer. He looks full of malice, and purpose.

The eyes might say something else, but I still think the smile in itself (if you put you'r finger over his eyes you'll see) looks rather... stupid. Sheepish might be the wrong word, but dumb though.

If you want your vamp lord to look 16 and be flashing leg between his thigh-length boots and silken loincloth, then sure.

Nah, what would that be? Just paint it pale and there you go. It's not like their teeth are sticking out all the time or something.

A vamp can have any kind of armor too, very versilate and perfect for models such as this. Or paint his body armor in skin color and make him go SPARRTAAA!!!

That is madness!

And yes, all vampires does not have to be snarling and baring their fangs. I mean it would be nice to see a vampire who is composed and not scowling for a change.

Danceman.

That's one of the things I love about the undead, with a proper paint job anything can be made to look part of the living dead. I do like that model a lot, with a little bit of conversion it would make a sinister vampire.
