Ive stalked this forum for...a while.
but until now had little reason to register.

I'm canadian. I play VC, Skaven, TK, Lizardmen and Chaos Demons.
I started started wargaming with Battletech, but moved to 40K due to the availability of models and players in canada for battletech. Honestly I didnt like 40K (i started with nids, but i can still be called out to play Dark Eldar at any time, though I dont like the new codex per se. pain tokens rock.)

Being born capricorn in the year of the rat produced my initial box of skaven models, which at the time I swore I would never play. A random series of events led to my wife saying she wanted to play a goblin army. to which i produced an old Orcs and goblins book (6E) and an arachnarok spider. 7th was out by this time, but the fluff and content in the 6th edition is hands down my favorite of any of the army books that i have read.

She now has well over 8000+pts in Orcs and goblins. Unfortunately for me, she is also very good...

It isnt even the army composition, she is just very steady with her decision making. I swear its because she is a mother directing the 'little ones' comes more naturally to her.

that and i make rash decisions, often.

I will never be a good warhammer player until i can learn to temper decisions. So it is likely i will never be a good warhammer player, thats all right. If I ever became a good warhammer player I would quit.

I used to play a lot of Tragic:The Blathering. I stopped, the players i was facing had a lot of difficulty beating me, which is no good. there needs to be a chance to win, an opponent should always be just a little better than you are or its no longer fun, futility sucks.

anyway, thats my story and im sticking to it.

Welcome to the forum! You were born in the year of the rat, and you play Skaven? What a coincidencexD.

Good luck with the gaming, and hopefully you'll find some other opponents you can have fun with.

I have a small community of players that i meet up with regularly for games. however, in canada 40K is by far the more popular (that and blood bowl)
