i really don´t think is unstoppable, problem is do too much for 1000 pts,for all the heroes combat test i´ve seen is unbeatable, mathammer wise. can be raped by cannons but this will bring back the boring gunlines of old time...
I Love the model, like the fluff, dislike the way unbalance matches and hate the pricetag.
I think i´ll buy it,one way or another, but i dunno if i can dare to use it...

I think cannons aren't all that scary for Nagash. He's toting a 4++, can hide behind terrain, has too many wounds to be one-shotted and can heal his wounds back. On average rolls it would take, what? Five cannon shots to kill Nagash in a single round? Cannons are definitely his achilles heel, but given he could conceivably raise multiple thousands of points worth of units over the course of the game, I feel like even if he pegs it on turn three he's probably paid for himself.

All this is conjecture of course, as I haven't even played a game with him yet!

What do you guys think about a vampire with quickblood, dreadknight, sword of striking and OTS that casts hand of dust on him self?

Hitting on 2+with reroll auto wound ds 6 wounds witth no armor and reroll successful ward

You'd have to generate hand of dust. Tricky part, Nagash comes with signature built in so he can't do a spell to push to another wizard. You just have to hope he doesn't end up with it.

Put 8 crypt horrors in 2 line in front of Nagash. In this case a cannon ball have to kill the first horror (reg5+ 3 wound), the second(reg 5+ 3 wound) and hit nagash (4++ and his wound)... many cannons needed...

Seems like a really expensive novelty build.

No, the best Hand of Dust caster is an elf wizard (built in ASF) with Sword of Striking. Cheap, efficient (not losing any attacks), and if he's in a bus you don't need to choose to step up until you know the spell is cast.

So, I played a 1500pt match yesterday against Lizardmen. Admittedly this was the guys first Fantasy match (he's been painting up his lizardmen for the last month or so) so he probably let through some spells that more experienced players would not. He was also playing his temple guard too conservatively I think. They could have been a lot more problematic.

Anyway, I took a Lvl4 Blender Lord on LoV and a Lvl2 Necro on Undeath, as well as managing to fit in a Heirotitan. I must say, I really think the Heirotitan's +D3 to casting values really paid off it's point value. On top of that, it's two bound spells worked well in drawing the opponents dispel dice out. There was more than one occasion when I came to cast my final spell of the phase (summoning) and he didn't have the dispel dice to prevent it.

Over the course of the game my Lvl2 Necro summoned 30 zombies and 2x2 Morghast Harbingers, so summoned a total of 420pts on to the board. His temple guard mowed through the zombies in two combat phases, but the Morghasts summoned into the back of the embattled Saurus unit (Black Knights and Blender in the front, Heirotitan in the side) made sure that unit fell hard. At the beginning of the combat phase they were on like 30~something, by the end there was 14 of them running away and the Morghasts made sure none got away.
