Tournament part 1 of 2

Hello I the tournament was today there are two games each day and today was the first of two, my list was the original list i posted earlier last month but with changes like the vampire to a wight king and giving GG great weapons and the BK the standard of strigoi and changing the VT to a more combat oriented vamp then magic,


Game one:Skaven
his list was
Vermin lord
2 plague priests
20 plague monk
30 clanrats
plague furnace and a HUGE unit of plague monks pushing it
20slaves
20slaves
20slaves
8 poisoned wind globadiers
7plague censers bearers
and a doom wheel

I pretty much was robbed of a massacre because he killed my big unit of skellies by turning them into clanrats and because my blood knights need 3 inches to overrun into his vermin lord and i rolled 3 1's but i pretty much decimated everything else (hate vermin lord and the doom wheel) the game was a draw which i was happy with because he was a nice guy and pretty fun to be around.

Game two DWARFS
I cant remember all he had but all i remember is that he was frustrated and threw his dice against the wall, i tabled him. I felt sorry that i did so i really dont like massacreing people i play for fun and to win but not obliterate them overall a weird kind of experience but he wasnt a bad guy just had a bad temper :/


Overall: i beileve i have done well so far and i really cant wait for my next two games i will post them afterwards tomorow (the next 2 armies are gonna be :grave

 

[Lord Fear]

Skaven are a really tough match-up, getting enough points from them is really difficult, I've still only beaten them once and that was from a massive panic wave. I had a game vs a Vermin Lord and even though I killed him it still was only a draw. They just have so much going on that if something somewhere works for them they can really punish you.

Shame about the Dwarf game too, he should grow up!

Well in the game vs skaven Turns 1 and two involved me casting ION on my skellies the my blood knights charged slaves and wiped them out and overran two inches forward when they needed three to hit the vermin lord,

Turns 3 and 4 my skellies charged the globadiers wiped them out but he then cast a spell that turns them all into clanrats even the vampire hero in them, with them gone his plague censer bearers charged my GG and did nothing and were slaughtered by my wightking and GG, my Big unit of skellies charged the plague monk unit and wiped them out and chased them down and overran into the flank of the plague furnace the vermin lord and doom wheel killed all of the blood knights

turns 5 and 6 my GG attack the plague furnace and with the help of the big skelly unit wipeout the whole thing took many combat phases it was Unbreakable UGHHHH and the vermin lord flank charged my GG and managed to kill all of them thru combat res and that was the end of the game,

There wasnt much left on the field I feel strongly i would have won because i was gonna hold up the vermin lord with my zombies and kill off every thing else with my new spirit host unit and my skellies but hey thats the game for you(master of black arts is very handy i might add) Those are all the details i can remember off hand

Also: Skaven have a spell that turns entire units into clanrats?!?

Yup, the "Dreaded Thirteen Spell", cast on 25+, enemy unit takes 4D6 wounds and if it kill all, all the models are replaced by Clanrats. Very nasty spell when it's cast succesfully.
