Triple7s' Log of Deadness

Well yesterday I picked up the first little bits of my Vampire Counts army, so I figured the time is right to start a modelling and painting log. I will apologise in advance, my camera isn't the best out there so pictures may not always be of the highest quality.

Heres my Wight King BSB with what will eventually be the Drakenhof Banner:

And the Vampire Lord on his own. This is what a proper vampire should look like. None of this Twilight nonsense:

I'll hopefully have the rest of the Grave Guard built and ready tonight, so more pics will be on the way.

I second you on the twilight nonsense. Dracula is my main vampire man, anyways I love your banner bearer. A very intresting idea. I got a picture out of the old white dwarf Im going to try to do for mine. But yours is a great idea neverless, Cant wait to see them painted.

Thats a very nicely posed looking model. Everytime I see that sword it makes me smile, its so crazy large, its simply brilliant. How are you going to paint it?

Nice conversion, the Empire models do have some great bits for conversion. I do agree on the Twilight nonsense though I still dislike GW vamps from the 7th edition. Blood Dragons from previously though are great.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments! Unfortunatly i've been a bit distracted so couldn't quite get the rest of the GG finished, but theres not many left to do now.

Niko, i'm not entirely sure how i'm gonna paint the blade just yet - half of me wants to do a rusted, moss covered metal, but the other half wants to do something more enchanted looking to represent the wight weapons.

I'm pretty sure that it's from the plastic Empire character kit. I'll agree though, the unpainted miniature looks great already - can't wait to see how you'll do it up, Triple7s.

Thanks for all the encouraging comments guys, the GG unit are all built and ready to paint now, and aye the banner is from the Empire General kit. Some pics should hopefully be on the way, i'm juggling between painting my vampire counts and painting some obliterators for a friend.
