Having nearly completed my VC army I have fallen head first into the plague. I've begun assembling 50 Plaguebearers...

I am also converting Furies using legs and torsos from 40k kroot figs

I am waiting on Tyranid Gargoyle Wings and I will be using Maurader arms with a variety of weapons.

On the horizon are a ton of Nurglings and a Great Unclean One. I've found a fantastic thread on painting the Plaguebearers using washes and I am excited to get started.

RE: Uncle Nurgle's Plague

Looking good so far Forlorn, cracking stuff.

Touch of genius with the Furies and components, can't wait to see how they turn out!

Keep up the great work.

The new PB are so awesome.... Also, for furies, have you seen the new release from avatars of war? If I decide to dip into using furies, those are the models I'm going for.

I'm not sure of the figure(s) you are talking about. I'll have to take a look and see. Thanks for the heads up.

RE: Uncle Nurgle's Plague

For anyone wondering how the new PB plastics fit, I have to say they fit together really well. Very simple too, Body A goes with belly A. So far the kit is an A+.

RE: Uncle Nurgle's Plague

The gargoyle wings arrived today!

They are the perfect size!

I decided for symmetry I would glue the wings together in a variety of positions so it'd be easier to then attach them to my Furies.

And here are a couple WIP of a Furie that will be flying over a barrel.

And another that's preparing to attack as he lands

How many dudes are you doing? 10? You could take two and put them on a cavalry base swarming over one of your dead animals.

I'm doing 2 units of 5. I have 12 bodies but only 10 sets of wings. I was thinking of using the 2 wingless Furies as a unit filler in my PB unit.

RE: Uncle Nurgle's Plague

Update.

So I have been gathering figures over the last week from various sources.

I have 50 Plaguebearers to work with. So I will be doing 2 units of 20 and a unit of 25 with full command led by a Herald. I will be creating unit fillers for each unit to fill out the ranks. Each unit filler will take the place of 4 Plaguebearers.

In addition to this fellow I will be using 2 plastic LoTR trolls and I will be modeling sores and blisters on them. I also have about 60 of the Old School Metal Nurglings and I plan to field 3 units of them. I also have 35 of the plastic nurglings that came on the PB sprues.

Small update. 63 of Uncle Nurgles little old school metal Nurgling Nephews have arrived fresh from the stewing pot. Now I have more than enough lil fellas to play with.
