Due to Nagash and his acolytes' considerable necromantic ability I suggest that there should be some form of undead construct on the army list. Perhaps based upon, or taking inspiration from the Bone Giants and the Ushabti found in the Tomb Kings Armybook.

To some extent there are undead constructs - the Abyssal Terror and the Zombie Dragon. But I know what you mean. Given the power of the von Carsteins, zombie or skeletal giants would make sense. Having said that, they'd have to go in Rare, and I really don't know that I'd take them ahead of the existing choices.

What about some kind of a sphinx like creature? Maybe more like a hydra/varghulf? Or with less stats to put them into the realm of Dragon Ogres/Centaurs?

Going by the new book on Nagash from the Black Library, I think there should be some constructs- Bone Giants and Scorpions feature in his army (to some extent).

Complimenting what EvC has said, there are a lot more constructs in Nagashs army than I had originally thought there would be. To compensate for this, there should be a single monster simply known as a 'Construct' in my opinion - something constructed of the sinew of other units...

Necrotic Construct

M 4
WS 4
BS -
S 5
T 6
W 3
I 2
A 3
Ld 4

The Necrotic Construct gets a 3+ scaly skin save

Construct
Due to the strong necromancy that holds it together, a construct always takes one less wound when suffering combat resolution. As well as this, the construct cannot be affected by poisoned attacks or killing blow - nobody is quite sure what to kill.

A necromancer likes to leave his mark and customise his construct, the construct may be upgraded with two of the following abilities:

Great Weapon - 15 Points
Reinforced Structure (+1 Scaly Skin save) - 25 Points
Shield - 25 Points
Extra Appendages (+2 attacks) - 50 Points

Points cost - I'd say around 265 for him, so upgrading can become expensive!

I think the TO 6 is a bit much, and at first I was skeptical of the str 7 (from GW) as well, but I guess it would be okay as long as the M stayed at 4. WS should probably be 3 as well, especially when you consider we can VH to get him to reroll misses and the remote control helm.

Getting rid of one of the +1 AS abilities would be wise too, a toughness 5/6 creature with a 1+ AS is a bit on the crazy side, IMO.

Point cost seems reasonable.

Sorry Reincus, this is a whole new army list and thus would not have access to Vahels or the helm of command, teh legion will have its own lore and magic items.

I personally think T6 is ok, though I think the cost of the armur should go up, as T6 with 2+ sv is quite tough, and O don't think there should be an option for a 1+ armour save.
I agree a lower WS as I can't imagine a construct being that skilled.

It should also cause terror.

Thing is, its not that unique, its just a bigger customisable Ushabti, at tougher opponent that unless you pay out for the extra arms is not going to do that much damage, and not that much fun either.

The reason why I like the Ancient Warrior is that he is a constuct yes, but one I can imagine in Nagash's Legion, a superior more skilled version rather than just copying the TK. Pus he's fun, a mincer when working but worrying about keeping the controller alive, as your opponent hunts him around the board knowing thats the weakness.
