Greetings fellow Creatures of the Night!

I just posted my blog up on Warseer yesterday, but I wanted to share it with you all as well, since it's heavily VC-themed. Now I'll be the first to admit, most of the content is from an older site and pretty much everything needs new basing. There's plenty of opportunity for improvement. But helpful comments and critiques are always appreciated, so please leave your thoughts if you're so inclined.

And just to whet your appetites, here are a few teasers to get you all interested.

Thanks for looking!

Figured I should let you all know that I finished up my Zargon/Morcar empire battle wizard conversion over the weekend.

Go easy on me guys, I'm a bit rusty having not sculpted anything in like ten years.

I loved your comment, Mad 'At. The twitchy-eyeball smilie made me laugh. I remember the marble taking me a while and a lot of stippling with different colors. I'll have to do a tutorial one day. Thanks Zhatan for your comment as well. Brahm and Santawraith, I completely agree that the paintjob on Zargon is not done and needs eyes at the very least. Thanks for the honest criticism. I think I was a bit intimidated to tackle eyeballs since it's been so long since I painted anything. I'll probably try and do some shading on the robes as well once I get my paint area organized.

In other news, I finally managed to get some (really old) army shots up on my blog. Also some closeups of my take on the HeroQuest Chaos Sorcerer. Bigger pics on the blog!

New post up on the blog! HeroQuest stuff, BattleMasters stuff, little bit of everything I've been working on. Here's a taste:

And here's one of my workspace, which I've neglected to post until now:

You're welcome to steal the idea, Theerteen, it's the sincerest form of flattery, after all. I'd be honored to inspire you. It certainly wasn't easy, I didn't even want to START the project until I finally got my Dremel, which saved me HOURS hand-drilling the metal bitz with a pin vise. The more you cut 'em up the better they look. I still might do some more paint work, maybe do four color schemes inspired by the four chaos gods and then one undivided. (I'm just imagining a pink chaos warrior for slaanesh... strikes fear into all he surveys!)

And by all means, enter the challenge! The more the merrier!

Had to put another coat of paint on Krell's Children, couldn't resist doing some themed paintjobs.

From left to right, they are: Slaanesh, pink and purple (the most FABULOUSLY frightening!); Nurgle, green and yellow and particularly rusty and corroded; "undivided," with the least alteration, just some rust and brighter silver armor; Khorne, all bronze and red and looking particularly happy about it; and finally Tzeentch, with his particularly bright blue and yellow highlights. I had a lot fun doing these, not least because it let me get out of the "undead drought" of bone and black I find myself doing so much of.

More pics on my blog! I've also got Malus Darkblade and a couple "cheaty" army shots I threw together. Thanks for looking!

Finally got up the nerve to post some WIP pics of my Terrorgheist! He's gonna have magnetized EVERYTHING... finicky kit but man it looks great once you're done.

Thanks for the comments! Your replies fuel my motivation.

Sweet merging of the old and new there. Is there more to come in similar nature?

I preordered Silver Tower the instant I saw the announcements, but honestly I've been hesitant to even touch the stuff since I've got such a HUGE to-do pile awaiting paint. I just had to do this particular conversion, once I realized how compatible the mino/ogroid were, scale-wise. I'm thinking about painting him up like the "Hurloon Minotaur" from Magic: The Gathering. Maybe I'll call him a "Hurloid Minoturge." But yes, painting and to some extent converting all of HeroQuest/BattleMasters/Silver Tower is on the long-term to-do list!

@benvoliothefirst The title of the PLOG caught my eye - I've loved playing Hero Quest since I was little.

It's great seeing your characters painted up, they look really cool. And that battle wizard is the spitting image of the evil wizard in the game. Nice work!

Thanks, sometimes inspiration just pops in there, and I've got to take X-Acto to plastic. I'm thinking about doing a "final form" of Zargon/Morcar based on the image in the GM screen where he's got a huge flowing cape and freehands of all the monsters inside it... that's gonna be once I've gotten around to all the banners I need to do for my infantry!

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, I'm hoping to get the minoturge painted this weekend, so I'll take some better pics. I know the muscles on his arm ended up a bit bigger than is probably necessary, but I chalk that up to him flexing... and me not having enough time to sculpt! I'm a big fan of yours, thanks for stopping in.
