I finally finished painting up these lads. They count as the Cursed Company in my pirate army.

I used a space-filler in the unit, which also helped make the captain fit. The new skellies are all leaning forward, while the vamp model stands straight up.

Finally, I thought the other Sartosan pirate model they released made a good ghast for my unit of ghouls.

In the name of awsomeness... those pirates are too good. Now I feel like doing that zombie pirate army I've wanted for so long. It could be cool if the captain was standing just behind the treasure chest... and did I say that the skellie to the right on pic nr 4 is the best in your army... great hat .

Very nice! Why not go the full way and make zombie pirates? I did! Now half of my zombies are in fancy dress for most battles. Beautifully random for normal skellys/wights/spirits

Hmmm... How about a Lahmian pirate?
With some khemrian/arabyan pirates around. I once had an awesome Lahmian pirate character at Rezephua. She was the closest I ever got to win an AoD over there... but the she lost too... too... Damn, the Chillis humourus sidekick!!!

I was so damn ashamed that I had her leave Rezephua, despite people telling me to keep her cause she was so cool etc... But I just could not avoid that battle and keep on RP:ing her regardless. Did not work for me to just pick and choose what AoD:s and events to act against and whatnot.
To me, it is either or, you do not go about picking and choosing. Damn, I just wish more people where more strict sometimes. But she was awsome...

Maybe she would make a good Lady...

Thanks for the feedback, gents. Over the last few months, I've added a few more units. First, I touched up some older models that had been on the shelf a while:

Bat Swarms

Dire Wolves

Three Fenbeasts

Fell Bats

Vampire Aristocrat

Then, I found a Mordheim Necromancer and painted him up for the force.

That brings the army up to around 1200 points. I'm working on a giant undead crab to use as a Varghulf.

Looking good! What will those Fen Beasties represent?

I'm guessing they will represent Fenbeasts.. ;)

Mr Sharkbelly, those are some seriously ace Dead Pirates. Nice and colourful too, a nice contrast with my own Undead Pirates, who are all grimy and dark-ish. Real good painting too.

Very nice crab there, though I wonder how it would look without a tail. (I'm just being picky when I say crabs don't have tails) But I do like what you've done with the whole pirate theme. The Sartosan models are nice, though my favorite is the Sartosan Vampire.

Crab-Varghulf! what an interesting, refreshing idea!!

I'm with DoN, remove the tail! or make a new, shorter one with greenstuff (BTW, crabs do have tail, but it is shortish...)

Thanks for the feedback, all. This army sat on the shelf for a while, but has been resurrected for 8th edition. (Pun intended) I am now working on it/playing it in my club's campaign.

I did crop the tail of the crab, and am working on my ethereal units. I am adding 5 spirit hosts, a banshee, and three wraiths. I'll get pictures up as soon as I can.

I could be wrong, but a lot of tournaments might not allow the Fenbeasts. Casual games is another story.

Though you could always have them represent spirit hosts or Ogre mercenaries.
