Hmm.. not so sure about the KoBK. The blurry photo doesn't help, but the thing that's making me groan inwardly is the chickens on their heads. Sure they look more dynamically posed (always a bonus) but I'm fedup of vampires with stupid helmets. *grumble grumble*

On the other hand, the Varghulf in the background looks absolutely superb!

I will reserve proper judgement on the KoBK until I see a decent picture. From the current they look none too good; but I guess the painting don't do them any good either.

Have you seen the blurry pic of a vampire hanging two bloody blades over his mouth?????? I think he´s the same of the drawing on the left, maybe konrad???? They look really great on that pose, but I have a big suspicion... VAMPIRES ARE INFECTED BY A VIRUS THAT MAKES THEM BALD!!!!!!!! I agree that the Red Duke is probably the best vampire miniature that GW has produced for years, but that doesn´t mean that baldness is cool... Please, maybe girls love bald or skinned people (who can understand them???) but we tend to associate power and strength with long manes (except O&G players...)

The said model is indeed Konrad. While everyone seem to faint over the pose, I'm not sure it works for me. I will, however, reserve judgement till I see a remotely decent picture of him.

How is it Konrad? The only similarity i see is red armour. The picture has a mane of white hair, and i believe Konrad is bald.

I'd say it is the army book cover - obviously it's unfinished. It's Dave Gallagher's work, and he predominantly does colour art for covers.

Well no hair seems to be evident on the model (obviously it's pretty hard to see, but you can see the outline of the head pretty well) and i seemed to recall hearing that he was, but i can't find a link now, i may be mistaken.

Even if it is Konrad, i'd still say it's the cover, unless they're going for full page pictures of the characters next to the rules, which they print in B&W - that's possible.

And I don't think it's possible to tell from that whether he has hair. You might be right, of course. I hope he won't be bald.

But I think the person on the cover(if it is the cover) is Kondrad. There are some similerities between the armors, for an example the strange crest/collar thing that comes up behind his head.

Whether it is a cover or not is hard to tell, but am I the only one that finds it odd that there is nothing in the background, if it is truly the cover?

I hope he's not bald too, but if he had long hair i'm sure that even on that crap picture we'd see a big mass of black or white down his shoulder.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. This waiting for pics is killing me!

I'm not overly impressed with them as models. The "meh" paintjob isn't exactly helping matters.

They're horses. They actually remind me of the original metal slotta High/Wood Elf horses in terms of pose.

I can see the resemblance - and I am really growing to like these Blood Knight models. I think a better paintjob will do the riders wonders, and the horses are really dynamic, and look positively evil.

veland, look at the feet, they're hoofed, though admittedly some of them look like cloven goats hoofs. I also see one head that resembles a wolf, but the bodies are wrong, as are most of the heads.

I like the models I think, certainly they have a lot of potential in the hands of a good painter/photographer. Also only slight modelling would be needed to improve them further.

Yes, the hooves seem to be cloven hooves, and the wolf-head still troubles me, but indeed the quality of pictures is not good enough to clearly see what kind of nightmare hides beneath the barding. Maybe it's not the eyes but my twisted mind telling me the riders are mounted on giant armoured wolves from hell ;-D ???

Speaking of cloved feet, if you look closly on vlad ( hopefully by this point your eyes have not been melted by the hidious paint scheme) his armour or actual feet are cloven.

GW have truely forsaken the normal appearence of vampires.

To be honest, I think it's just some clawy spikes at the point of the foot armour which is quite normal for gothic armouring. Just think of the ringwraiths in the LoTR movie. Anyway, you're right; it does look cloven or claw like.
