Oh right yes the 25% rule that's what you meant :)

All models classified as monsters have the thunderstomp rule which let's them do d6 hits at strength against infantry warbeast swarms :)

Nothing wrong with having your vamp and King in the same unit, it is a lot of eggs in one basket though :O

I am currently preparing for my upcoming battle against Orcs & Goblins. As you can see reading through this thread my previous encounter was not too successful.. ;( However, I have made improvements and acquired upgrades to my Army. Hopefully, whatever left of my tactical abilities has not abandoned me yet.. ;)
I'm trying to fine tune the setup of the army but I am lacking knowledge of the rules. Could you please answer the questions below so that I play according to the rules?

1. When the enemy declares charge on my Terrorgheist (that should not happen but...) and moves the unit into Close Combat range can I use Death Shriek on it in the Shooting Phase before the Close Combat is even resolved?

2. I have currently chosen 3 Spirit Hosts to participate in the battle. I cannot add them to any units as they are a unit themselves but their stats are not so great... Would Crypt Horrors be a better choice (6 of them)? I heard they are very offensive and have high survivability.

Just so you know, people might be opting out of SOBU death star in favor of different things this days. Take a look at SCGT 2013 winner's list:

From what I read, the guy breezed through the tournament.

And as to your questions: you can't use death shriek in opponent's turn (you can only shoot in your own).

It depends on what other units you have. If you have quite a few direwolves them hosts are probably superfluous as chaff and get the horrors. Otherwise keep them :)
