Vampire Heads

Looking for options on vampire heads. I've spent the last several hours looking through bits online but I have not been able to find a decent one. Would appreciate any feedback, thanks.

A large amount of people use the new plastic ghoul heads as Vampire heads, if you are going for a more feral looking approach. However in regards to something more civilized I'm unsure.

Any idea where the plastic head used in this conversion came from?

I'm pretty sure its from the 40k range either Imperial guard or Space marines, Its familiar I just can't remember which, try checking through BitzBox.co.uk

I think those teeth are sculpted with green stuff, so you'd still need to do those even though you get the head.

I'm 90% sure it's the plastic Cadian Sgt head for 40K...

I do believe you are right, I'll need to do a bit of sculpting to remove that headset of his, thanks alot Sivad.

isent that a DE head?? it does not look like its a Cadian Sgt head or a Space Marine one

I'm pretty sure that it is a modified Cadian sergeant head with the com set filed off.

My General is being a pain in the butt, at first he was going to cost me about $35, but now with all the conversion bits I got for him (I had to buy some models just for a bit since its metal) he is ending up costing me over $70. Heck the base model is going to be about $45 after taxes. I guess I better not mess up painting him, stripping converted models is a pain in the butt.

Since the model will be 100% metal and green stuff, I'd use acetone instead. Simple green is only good because it doesn't dissolve plastics. For metals, dunk it in acetone for a day, scrub it off with a tooth brush. Then take a little bit of Winsor and Newton acrylic brush cleaner and clean all the remaining primer in the wee crevices of the model.

I've had models dunked in simple green for a couple of months now (I received a bunch of Tau from a good friend), and after several scrubings I still can't get rid of all the primer. I'm considering using some of the Winsor and Newton acrylic brush cleaner on them since technically it should be safe on plastics, but I have yet to experiment and the cleaner is a little pricey.

Should I do a painting log?
