@ Santa - Ahh ok, I was thinking of that dark jedi master from the first dark forces with the silly glasses, I had never heard of that guy, certainly sounds a interesting idea, not sure it works with the lahmian's, they don't really turn guys do they?

very minor update, these are my direwolves, still need to tweak them a bit, basically just a very quick paint job (dry brushing and washers), i didn't see the point in spending hours on them, they don't last more than a turn anyways lol

Well I am looking for a new vampire model now, I have decided I want a male vampire in the list, need to find something in fullplate mail that is a GW model.

So a bit of a updated, first up is the new vampire for my army, I don't think he needed all that much doing to him to work with the army, some may disagree, each to his own, still a bit more to do on him (when the inks dry, arg)

Something 40k, some death cults I am working on.

The death cult looks good too, I need to get back to my chaos boys so little time so many distractions.

At the moment I am feeling that way, everyone is playing 40k, arg, I don't mind 40k but I have and never will enjoy it as much as warhammer, so at the moment I am very much "why I am even bothering to paint my army!"

I paint for fun and for the story in my head to unfold.

You have a vision of your army keep going for yourself to see how it unfolds. I rarely play fantasy anymore due to lack of people interested here.

I play 40k alot and enjoy it but like you feel its not the same both are great games. But my undead will always have my heart. Now here is a suggestion on what has helped keep me motivated, my challenges. It is why I enter each one, for a while there it was all the fantasy I painted. We got ghouls this month so get to painting.

As always Logan, things are looking pretty sweet. I really like the use of the Space Wolves wolves. They are by far the best looking wolves GW have sculpted to date! I also like the use of the Dark Eldar. I'm considering making a Dark Elf Bloodbowl team using Dark Eldar Wyches, so it's nice to have a little inspiration!

@ Santa - Yeah I paint for fun, however recently became unemployed again so been a bit demotivated last few weeks.

40k is ok, I think I played it to death with my grey knights, honestly I would rather play warhammer, it just looks so much cooler, really until mid 5th I hadn't played 40k since early 3rd ed, i also hate how my grey knights are painted so I think before I can start playing them seriously I need redo all the metal on them.

@ untitled_musketeer - Thanks, I have to agree, they are the best wolf models they have done, I still like the old metal chaos hounds, I think they work well for the unit, much better than current plastic ones.

Oh cool, I will keep any eye out for your dark elf team, seems very interesting, the death cults have been done very lazily tbh, I should have changed the ears and what not, I just wanted to get some paint on them! they have been laying about getting broken for far to long.

So small update, I decided to redo the varghulf, still working on it but I needed a break!

I'm far to picky, I can never get eye glow right, especially on skellies....
Nice job on the wolves, I gave up trying to do glow on mine.

@ Duke - I am very picky as well, the glow effects need tweaking on the graveguard and have already been redone on the skeletons.

i ordered that same one recently but it was miscast back to the stoneage with airgaps and missing parts o_o

Well they are actually chosen, I am debating if I make my unit of chaos warriors in a similar way however I do worry it will be hard to tell the chosen from chaos warriors thats a few months away anyway, maybe I will make the standard chaos warrors with normal chaos warrior heads with or without the horns.

They stick out as chosen, I referred to them as Warriors because of the army.

I think a unit that looked that good would put others to shame.
You would need a 30 strong unit though and they don't look cheap to make truth be told.

Well with the changes to the WoC book they are going to be Chaos warriors with the hellblades counting as Halberds, they are also going to get changed. I decided rather than chopping up more Chaos warriors that I would order a box of the great weapon warriors of the apoc and just use the legs (just waiting on them to arrive).

At some point I will make a second unit but it isn't high on my to do list.

Just waiting on payday now so I can get a pair of chariots and have the bits I need for the 2400pts, less than 50 models lol.

Well its been a while since I really uploaded did anything with my VC, I decided before I do anything else its about time I actually got this army finished (then maybe I will be getting myself a new DE army ).

So I had a few bits left over from the chaos warriors I made, I decided to change the hammer for a axe to help it look a little less like a warrior priest.

Well a Friend of mine gave me this model, I thought I would try and make use of it, so new vampire BSB I may or may not ever use, still a fair bit to do.

Started on the next core unit today, I'm hoping I can get these guys done this by the end of the week.
