Alright me and my friend just got ourselves some fresh new armies we tried creating the best we could from what we had.
My list:
vampire, flayed hauberk, lord of the dead, dark acolyte, helm of commandment 190 (in ghoulbunker, general)
1 vampire, walking death, infinite hatred, sword of battle, cadaverous cuirass 190 (in skeleton regiement)
1 necromancer, book of Arkhan (In corpsecart) 90
10 dire wolves 80
10 ghouls champion 88
10 grave guard great weapons 160 full cmd
1 Corpse cart 100 lodestone
29 skeleton warriors full command spears 236
19 Skeleton warriors full cmd 172
6 black knights 144
1 giant 205
no magic stuff on non-hero units. He had roughly 30 skinks, 2 salamanders, 1 stegadon, 35, saurus, 4 kroxigors. 2 priests 1 saurus here. At least what I remember. Problem was he had 4 dispell scrolls and somediadem of power giving him 2 extra dispell dice so he had 6 in total.
Battle was going to be at a bridge over a river. Okey writing report is just too boring so I will write you a story instead
The vampire surveyd the field of battle. A narrow bridge was all that stood between him and the powerful artifacts of the lizardmen vault.
But on the horizon he could see a hastily mustered force of lizardmed had approched to defend it. Keldur decided that these dinosaures was of little concern and readied hos force for battle.
His skeletons led by his vampiric brother Rein advanced up to bridge under hail of poisonouss skink javelins and blowpipes. Some of the skinks brought with them great salamanders but the creature being annoyed from not having eated the whole day decided he wanted lunch and ate all of his controllers. Many fell but with his necromantic powers Keldur managed to keep the losses at an acceptable level.
His brother fuelled by a spell he had cast from his black book sent them flying into the first lizard battleline. 16 of the dinosaur warriors stood prepared for them but they had not counted on the ferociosness of Rein. The lizards tried forming a shieldwall but the undead brought his sword down in a powerfull arc shattering shields flesh and bones alike. 4 of the blue things fell to the ground and another one was chopped in two by the trustworthy captain of the regiement.
A few of the Lizards hit him back but their swords were easily deflected. Not being able to stand before the might of Rein the monsters turned tail and fled. However Reain halted his men seing as the rest of the bridge was surrounded by more of the lizards. Not wishing a flank charge he deemed it best to let the poor creatures run.
Meanwhile from beneath the river 4 gigantic stone weaponwielding dinosaurs had charged some of Keldurs skeletons through the river. Five of the skeletons were crushed but not feeling any pain they held ground. charging at the flanks of the lizards were the zombie giant! he brought his weapon down and impaled one of the kroxigors. On the other flank some of Keldur's bodyguard charged the clumsy beasts. One by one they fell to the ground until the undead were alone on their side.
Keldur tried "reviving" some of his minions but far away at the temple he could see some skink priests reading mighty incantations blowing his magic away. furious by this and realizing he was under heavy fire from some of the giant salamanders and hordes of darts from the skinks he advanced his regiement up the bridge. However packed tightly at the bridge he could not advance his troups fast enough and it made them easy targgets for the skinks who just kept staying at the shore shooting at them. Cowards he thought...
Rein on the other hand had just finnished a second round of combat with the blue lizards. This time he shwed them no mercy and killed them all as they ran for their lives. However he found himself suddenly facing the general of the enemy army with a 20 man strong regiement of more saurus. Quickly restoring his own men to their full size Rein prepared to take the enemy head on and finnish them once and for all.
The large reptitilian however attacked with a ruthlessness never before seen sand found a deadly flaw in Reins armour. A lucky blow crushed the vampire skull. Encouraged by their generals act the rest of the sauruses swiftly overwhelmed the surprised skeletons.
Seeing his brother turn to ash the vampire knew the battle was lost. More men were impaled by the javelins and darts. The salamanders having aten all of their handlers were at last free to turn their attentions towards the undead horde. A few skeletons reached the skinks and many of the creatures fell. But heeding the commands of their leader none of the creatures gave any ground.
From across the bridge a great stegadon came running towards Keldur. Keldur would at least make the lizards pay for their crimes and sent a regiement of his black knights fown the flank. Hearing the creatur howl under the furious onslaught Keldur himself drew his blade deep into the eye of the beast. The creature panicked and tried running, it was however caught by the knights and brought down.
Now hordes of Lizards were advancing across the river sending tons of the cursed javelins in Keldurs back. Ignoring the pain Keldur summoned some zombies to divert the attention. The knights made a last noble charge against the sauruses. But the creatures seeing they were winning refused giving any ground despite having their lord wounded and two dinosaures slain.
Keldur retreated the field. He mourned the loss of his brother greatly. However he had not died in vain. Keldur had realised now the errors of his ways. He needed ghosts that would not care about the arrows and whatever the enemy had. He also missed the great bats. He would not be so indecisive in the future and vary his force. One day he would return and the lizards would not be so lucky!
