Greetings.

I decided to put up some of my work here after seeing all the amazing plogs going on. I'm hoping that this will motivate me to put some more effort into my future models. Alot of what I've done previously has been to get a full painted army to play with.

So, starting with some fillers.

3x5 Zombies:

Sorry for the quality of the images and the quality of the painting.
These were some images that I had from earlier.
I'm aiming for my future stuff to hold a higher quality.

Wow, that Mortis Engine is phenomenal. Love the green ethereal effects.

Your basing is top notch! Very atmospheric, love the skellies crawling from the ground. I can't imagine how much money you must spend on static grass... your floor probably looks like a barn interior after a game, lol.

I would love to see some better pics of that mounted vampire (?)... from what I can see it looks pretty well done!

Do you have a pic of all the stuff you haven't painted yet? I want to see what your "to-do list" looks like!

Thank you very much. I've just recently started spending alot more time one the bases.
I'll see if I can get some pictures of some of my older stuff including my mounted vampire/wight king.

My current WiP is a Terrorgheist that I will be paiting in bits 'cus I'm afraid I wont be able to reach everywhere with my brush otherwise. Hence, pictures might be quite uninteresting. I also have a mounted bsb that I'm trying to fit together. Big hunk of metal... I'll try an get a picture of that.

Other than that I'm filling out my numbers of Zombies and Skeletons, you can never have to many. And somewhere in a box is my old Zacharias on a Z-dragon, I think I'll try an convert something with the leftovers from my TG.
I also ordered a Lotr figure for a vamp on foot with shield. I'll pop a pic of that one in as well.

Thanks for your comment.

As I said before - great ME! ;)

As for the rest of the minis - I love the swampy zombies, and those grass-heavy bases are very nice. There is some good feeling to them, something which I can't really name, but which is definitely positive :) I look forward to more minis from you.

@con-fusion Thanks! Sorry, I don't know the reference. :(

@Mad 'At Thanks. I wouldn't mind, it'd be an honor ;)

@Borgnine Thanks.

Going over to our gaming dungeon right now, going to see if I can get a picture or two of my army so far.

Great army shots! And see, I'm not the only one who still paints my bases goblin green. (Or is that my color-almost-blindness kicking in again?)

How'd you do the tall grasses/ cat-o-nine-tails? Looks almost like brush/broom bristles.

Nope, must be colorblindness, I have devlan mud colored bases (thou I wish I had gone darker).
As for the swamp grass, you have sharp eyes for different things, it is indeed a broom that I got from my job, it was thrown away. Just took and painted some of the strands(?) yellow.
Thanks again for contentious (yes I made that word up, gettin all Shakespear on ya'll) comments.
Edit: I realise now that contentious is in fact a word with another meaning. What I meant was "full of content" as if you'd actually taken some of your time to look at the pictures and such.

@CON-FUSION Well, creepy stuff is what we're all about.

ObliviJohns army of the dead: Two evening challenge.

So I finally called my local GW to tell them that I thought 3 weeks was to long to wait for my packages... and they had them in the shop. Appearently they dont send anything out to let you know that your stuff has been delivered... I had even paid for it and everything, oh well.

Anyways, on saturday I'm going on my first tournament ever. (soooo exciting) Since I dont know how hard ppl will be on the WYSIWYG rules over there I decided to try and make a vampire on foot with shield, buuuut since the model came so late I have only two evenings to make the model. Hence, it's a "challenge" for me.

The model I will be using is The Dark Marshall from the LOTR game. Just smack a shield on there and he's ready to go.

If you look in the back of the pictures you'll see the holiday greetings card that was included in my package from GW, heartwarming. Also if you look even harder you will see scattered peices of my WiP the Terrorgheist. Dun dun DUUUN!

Anyways, wish me luck.

Tl;dr: Got a LOTR model and going to try and put on a shield and paint him in two evenings.

The cloak is indeed nice :)

As for the shield - on its own it looks good - I like the hue and I think it looks quite 'undead' ;) It only looks jarring with the red/silver/gold guy. I'd definitely add some green on the warrior somewhere maybe as well and make them more together - now it looks quite random...

Good luck on the tourney! And then with painting ;)

Love the coloring on your grave guard, gives them a roman legion feel. It's too bad more of the lotr range isn't big enough, allot of them definately have a vc feel. That one looks great, little bit of source lighting would tie the shield in nicely as it looks to be glowing already

@KINGSIDE_BISHOP Thanks buddy, you're really giving me more credit than I deserve tho... It's just grass and gravel :P

@COUNT LUPEI Thanks mate. I beleive the lotr models generally are to small to be used in warhammer. This guy however is taller than your average lotr man.
I'm not sure what you mean with source lightning. English not being my main language. I'm thinking of redoing all of it into a copper shield. If I ever get around to it. I've still got so much to paint so going back over my stuff is not so prioritized. :/

How do I change the title of my post btw? Anyone?

Here are some updates. Got my TG together and painted and will be trying it out the first time tomorrow =)
I used alot of the "Blood for the Bloodgod color". Very nice effect. Got a little lazy with gaps on the model. It really needs some major greenstuff action along the spine and some minor touches elsewhere.
Anyway, pictures:

Hope you like it. Sorry about the bad focus. I just suck at cameras. :P

Love it! The pinks have a sort of rancid, meat-left-out-at-a-butcher-shop look to 'em. Your bases are really unique (at least from what I've seen) and evocative. I'm excited to see more!

That TG is pretty sweet ;] As Barn Owl said, he looks as if he's straight out of a slaughterhouse - it creates a very creepy and unsettling effect and it's very good here!

As for the bases - they have some sort of steppe or Rohan feel to them - nice thing :thumbsup:

EDIT: as for the title of the post - just make a 'FULL EDIT' of your first post - you can change the topic there.
And as for the source lighting - the full name is 'object source lighting' - just google "OSL miniatures" and see what it's about.

Lots of win in your plog :thumbsup: I particularly like your first swamp zombie unit filler, and your 'blood and bone' terrorgheist.

Not sure if you are interested in suggestions but I think your basing would look amazing if it all followed the swamp theme from that first zombie filler. Also your vargheist looks great, really like the skin, but the wings are lacking something. Maybe some blood like on the terrorgheist? Would make them match up well with the TG perhaps? Just a thought, keep up the good work ;)
