Haha, yeah I've done my khemric-themed army as "rising from the sands" so that I only need to assemble like 50% of a bunch of my models, and the whole back rank can basically be unit filler to stretch some extra bodies out of kits. I'm crafty like that lol.

edit: was seriously cursing myself last week for embarking on such an ambitious cross-army conversion project for a freaking horde army. Calculated that I've done roughly 200 of those damned dune bases, each of which is custom-carved. Insanity. Why did I do that to myself haha.

Next army I'm buying bloody resin bases.

Agree with this. It's surprising how hard it is to do 3 wounds to a T5 3+4++ model on a 20-23mm base.

(and no, I don't mean 25mm. GW cav bases are 23mm. Things you find out when doing custom movement trays...)

Great army! I especially like the bases. Now I have even more inspiration on how to make many models from a small kit.

Thanks! I got it all painted at 3:30 am the night before the event. I'll post pictures when I'm done. Will also do up some battle reports (was super fried and forgot to take many pictures, but I snapped a few of seminal points in a couple games). I'll try and get on that tonight or tomorrow. Super busy back at work after taking the Friday off to paint.
