I think this show was designed to get people on the internet agitated.

If so, it works.

I think they just use a bit too popularized warriors, even being biased. I saw a small part about the gladiators, and it was all about them being 'killing machines, designed to kill, fight to the death, kill, kill...' And well, 9/10 fights in Roman arena's ended without either sides killed. Only 1/10 got killed.
Viking, same idea. Bloodthristy, savage warriors. Yeah, the berserkers that is. The normal dudes could've been angry, of course, but still they lived so cleanly (especially compared to others in that time), that all English women wanted a viking as husband instead of a filthy englishmen (no offence to english, but vikings washed themselves every day.. in medieval times, not even your queen did so..!)

Also, has anyone watched the 'Aftermath' show? I haven't watched any just yet, but it seems to be aimed to satisfy the torrent of internet users who proclaim themselves to be martial art masters and experts in historical fighting techniques.

Ghoul King, have you tapped into my mind 'cus your fav warriors are mine as well.
Main differences in weapons though:
I think the full spartan 'look' is perfect (with spear in hand though), so I disagree with spartan sword as it is not quite as cool as the spear/shield combo for me.
For knights I would say lance, but I'm guessing the knight is on foot in this case so 'Mourning' (love the misspelling) star ftw.

Our choice of weapons are the same but most likely for different reasons

I like axes purely for the power you can put into them and for the massive damage they inflict

I didn't even know what a scissor was until I saw this show and I loved the carnage Chuck did with that thing he cut a cow in half with one punch

I like the Spartan sword cuse you could probably hack off someones arm with that thing or bury it in their guts while I hack them apart with the axe

And what the Morning star did to that dummys Skull *Drool* I feel like DoN would if he were the last man on earth

I though the Taliban and IRA were pretty much the same thing except for being led by two very different groups from two very different places in the world... A draw'd be way more likely IMO.

What I find stupid about the IRA and the Taliban fighting , apart from it taking place in an american car park , is that a US TV station actually thought that it would be a good idea to show it in the first place . And a british TV station then decided to show it while the "real" IRA are still active . And another thing , what series of events would lead to them or any of the others ever meeting ?

Well I just watched William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu and it was interesting learning about there weapons but most importantly and quite rightly Wallace won
