Vs WoC 2500 pts

Heyho,
First: Are there any ideas for taking down this chaos warshrine thing?

For the army, I have a big Skellie block in mind (40+ raising), one or two zombie bunkers with 1-2 necros each, and a lore of metal vamp.
ME with upgrade, and...now what else?

Is it the Chariots/Prince/Dogs kind of WoC? Two/three spirit hosts and two Tbats all the way. I've tabled that list plenty.

Warriors are a really, really good matchup for us. Unless they have two hell cannons and are sitting in a corner, they're almost guaranteed to have to come after us to get points. That means they have to fight us. That means we can smash them.

Vampire lords, wight king with the night shroud, terrorgheists, lots of chaff, units of skeletons WITH A CHAMPION.

Nothing kills solo chaos characters (lords and heroes alike) quite like big bricks of skeletons. Charge in, challenge with the champion. He *has* to accept. If he's got a great weapon then the demonic mount / disc kicks the champion to death. Lord doesn't get to attack. You win by charge + 3 ranks + banner to his 1-2 wounds. Chaos leadership is...actually not all that great.

Wanna kill a warshrine? Unit of skeletons. You'll never wound it, but it really doesn't have all that many attacks. Eventually it will fluff, and then you'll break it on SCR and run it down.

Everything else can be killed by terrorgheists and vampire lords. I'm hesitant to throw a VL into a demon prince, as they're mean as shit and even nightshrouded you don't get rerolls and hit him on 5s. However I will happily throw him into anything else.

Night shroud is key, though. You'll struggle against more than 1 3++ chaos hero, but with the shroud you can take 2 easy. 3 is...more concerning, but still possible.

I always wanted to use nightshroud, never did though. he's the kind of khorne guy, running forward screaming and making some mistakes from time to time. Last time was forgetting gg kb and charged with a unit of 5 cw into 22 gg. the look on his face in the second round of combat was...satisfying Last time I got him with "immortal army" having everything in close area including the me and 3 resurrecting necros. I think this time he will bring a hell canon.
Using a tg is something I always do if I get the chance, wasn't sure about LS of WoC. And as I said, I'm sure be will come up with a canon this time, so it's tricky to bring the tg. But if I do, with or without ghoul king? Atm I have a l4 master necro with black periapt and leftover points as general...

What exactly was chaff? Last time there weren't any single heroes or lords, but vilitch (villitch? Not sure) in a marauder bunker. I'lI try to take this little sh*t down with the tg early in the game this time. Any opinions for a metal lore vampire on hellsteed in a gg unit?

What exactly was chaff?

Small, cheap and preferably mobile units that should block/redirect enemy combat units. Chaff is projected for "death with purpose" - they will die, but they will position enemy unit to flank charge or they leave them exposed and far from support of other units. Small blocks of summoned zombies or 5 strong direwolves, pair of fellbats or single spirit hosts are prime examples of chaff in VC army.

Go killy - use Vampire Lord or even two of them. Use buff/debuff so Lore of Vampires, Death or Shadow are good to go. If you want more specialized, and more brutal buffs, go with Beast and watch chaos cry. Lore of metal is specialized anti-armour killer, and our army have them plenty. You dont really need it for win.Putting mounted character into infantry is not good idea - Skullcannons will get him down easilly.

And as I said, I'm sure be will come up with a canon this time, so it's tricky to bring the tg. But if I do, with or without ghoul king?

TBat without SGK - espetially if he bring skull cannon. Necros are caddies for scrols and other usable arcana, not for fighting.

Currently in a game against chaos. I have to admit that I feel naked on the field without the Tbat but brought duo mortis engine and they do the job just as good If not even better. ;-) also, I'm trying another build on the vampire lord and so far his killing power is paying off more than the standard ogre blade vampire. Though I wouldn't bring him if not without the duo engines
