Waaagh of the Dead

Hello fellow lost souls,

I haven't played Warhammer in many years and thus this army has been collecting dust on the shelves. Recently though I started a small 40k force and thought it was a good idea to finish my last few VC models and post them here. Enjoy!

The Zombie Horde:

@Baslakor Now that's something! Very original army theme, very well executed too! Skeleton unit is my favorite, that statue is awesome. Clean painting and nice conversions. I think you'll have to post an armyshot before moving into 40k

Wow, very cool. I love the spiders. Have you tried the Blood for the blood good color? It's great for blood and gore details.
Can't wait to see some more of these. =)
(I dont quite agree with the LEGO tho..)

@Baslakor Brilliant work on this army. I've just finished an OnG army and have started up my VC; big fan of both and you've did them both justice in one!

The zombies are especially brilliant (love the filler zogre tearing that little elfy horse to pieces), and nice freehand on that skeleton banner. Probably the black knights with the most originality I've seen too. I can't pick out a particular favourite unit as they're all cool!

I'm not sure what I make of the lego. It looks odd but I also don't find it completely out of place as you've got a lot going on here...

I do find the Lego very funny, it suits the humorous angle you've taken. I do admire the hobbyists that think of a gimmick then put their money where their mouth is and make it happen! The Hallowe'en pumpkin army, and the Black Gourd! Nice relief from the more common 'serious' approach.

I gotta say this is one of the best themed armies I've seen. You've done a great job on the skeleton faces on non skeletal models and the gore on the rest is delicious. Are you looking to paint more and do you have any projects on the go?

First time I see lego in Warhammer in a kinda serious tone Impressive work, you really went out of your way doing these. I love the orc wight - does his eyes really glow like that? I dare to say it looks as if some special effects are here at work
