So, I was working my poor little tush off on some perfectly legitimate schoolwork today when my mind began to wander. Unfortunately it soon became lost (my mind does not have a particularly good sense of direction), so after three hours of desperately searching my neighborhood for it I received a telephone call from the local police station saying that they had picked it up and it had relayed to them my contact information.
The whole episode was pretty pathetic, but during my feverish search I had a pretty cool idea;

I know we have the Bloodline army lists and things to represent armies composed of different brotherhoods of vampires, but I also know that not all opponents are going to okay those lists for use and they are certainly a 'no-go' for Tournaments. So waht about using the Warriors of Chaos list as a Blood Dragons stand in?

Hear me out before you start throwing hate mail and flames at me...
First of all, the characters are perfect - Chaos Lords have some of the highest combat statistics in the game and their hero choices are nothing to sneeze at. Plus, Eye of the Gods forces characters to challenge, just like the old rules!
Chosen and Chaos Knights can easily represent smaller units of vampiric thralls or the general's bodyguards while Chaos Warriors and Maurauders can stand in for the lesser undead like Skellingtons and Grave Guard.
Chaos Armor=Full Plate Armor?

Okay... that's all I got. xD
So, what do people think?

Edit: Forgot to mention the biggest argument against this idea - the differences in base sizes. I'm sure that it wouldn't be difficult to model some really bulky Skellingtons, would it? :D

But would you still be allowed to play it in a tournament.
I don´t think they will like it when you confront them with your vampire count models and say that they opperate under the rules of chaos warriors.

I think Vekarin would most likely do more then just slap down their VC models and say I'm playing WoC today with these stand ins since base sizes are different and in the edit they mention modeling bulky skellingtons.

As for the idea why not I don't think I've come across a VC Chaos army before seen VC Empire and Bretonnians but so far not Chaos so it sounds like it would be pretty cool to see.

Marauders as skeletons and Chaos Warriors as Grave Guard is how I would do it if I was planning it.

Visually and statistically it could definately work, but the lack of fear and unstability will come across as a bit strange. Just make sure to never lose combat and you should be alright! ;)

Erm, MS, they're WoC, not VC! They don't suck in combat! :tongue:

Yeah but lady luck might have a different say in the matter then you might wonder if your playing with VC units.

If you took the MoS all round, then the entire list would be ItP. Sure, you don't cause Fear (short of a couple of units/magic items) and it's not the most effective mark, however, that would allow you to get the never-fleeing aspect of the army as well.
