Hello

So im planning to start my VC army on the 14th, and am a huge fan of large monsters. However, im not a huge fan of the current Varghulf model and would really love a cool (and big) werewolf model to use instead.

Anyone have any ideas where one can find a good one?

I use one of the Privateer Press Circle of Orboros wolf models. There are more options but I like these ones.

Old Glory has a rather nice one that paints up very well.

Can't seem to find it right now on their site though.

How about this one

if you want to toy with gs you can take a skaven rat ogre and a wolf head from the goblin wolf riders or even a dire wolves and then sculpt them onto the body add some fur and presto werewolf =), easy way would be to use the hordes werewolf its a beautiful model.

I agree with Santawraith, "The Thing in the Woods" is awesome, and whenever I see the model or talk about it I feel the strong urge to watch "Brotherhood of the Wolf."

I like the one from the Rusted heroes line, "Varu'Flur the Beast Within".

Fierce looking, big and chunky and sits on a 40mm base nicely.

Nice comparison pictures of one here with some GW figs.

Ooh, just seen this thread. I have some Wolfen models I got for Christmas during my first year of Uni. They came as a box set my parents got from France, complete with the french rules. I've never played it mind...

Anyway, I'm gonna be painting mine up, especially seeing some of the great artwork that's come out of the new release. I'll get round to it eventually!

Cheers,
