His first turn he killed my Mortis Engine and took half the wounds off my Terrorgheist. I rammed everything forward, healed the TG as much as I could. 2nd turn he took 20 wounds off of my 8 Crypt Horror unit (leaving 2 models with 4 wounds) and took the TG down to 2 wounds.
I managed to get my Horrors locked into combat and the TG held on for a couple more turns. Finally came out with a 1400-750pt win. Had the Crypt Horrors been wiped out he'd probably have massacred me. If he'd ignored my Mortis Engine turn 1 and wiped the Horrors I'd definitely have lost. If I had got turn 1 I would almost certainly have gotten a bigger win.
Pretty much any other build and it should be a very favourable match up for the VC.
