Iced Earth - The Clauding

I'm listening to a random mix of about every Within Temptation song ever released. At the moment it's The Promise (from Mother Earth), before that it was Forgiven (from The Heart of Everything).. and what's next.. I don't know... (often occurs with random function.. ;))

The Chemical Brothers - Battle scars

Next: The Chemical Brothers - Do it again.

Just love em!

Helloween - Judas

Kieske is so damn awesome on this song, so i usaly listen to it 3 times in a row when i decide to listen to it

so yes......next up is the same song again:P

Neko Case - Hold on, Hold on.

Angelica - I saw you mention them in a couple of your posts and the name intrigued me (obviously they are Interview fans) so I decided to check them out. This was one of the songs I got a hold of so far, but have found that I've had to work a bit at matching songs to the albums that I have seen on amazon when I search on limewire. So, is there an album in particular of theirs that you would suggest to start with? Perhaps one that fans are in agreeance as being one of their best?

Next:

Alter Bridge - Metalingus (or WWE's Edge's entrance theme for those who know who he is)

Theatres des Vampires - Une Saison En Enfer

Next, Theatres des Vampires - Dominion

darknesseternal:Theatres has played a lot of different music on their albums. The first albums, Bloody Lunatic Asylum, The Vampire Chronicles and Jubileaum Anno Dracula 2001 were some kind of mix with goth and black metal. They're darker than their later ones, but very emotional. Alexander, their male singer with that FANTASTIC voice tends to growl in most songs though.. A shame.

The album after the ones I mentioned, Suicide Vampire, was a bit more gothic metal, still with mainly growling though. Still a lovely album, all of them are. The last album they made with Alexander, Nightbreed of Macabria, had almost no growling in it. The songs are nice, but somewhat polished.. At first they got me totally stuck with them, but later I just went back to the albums before it. I've listened to them for two years, and Macabria lasted for maybe a month ;). Although it's a wonderful album when I want to enjoy Alexander's voice.

And then hell came down. They kicked Alexander, letting that mad Lahmia-wannabe Scarlet sing instead. She had been their background singer since -98 or so I think. Her voice is.. emotional, but honestly she can't sing at all. Their latest album, where she sings, has some nice songs but really pales if compared with the others. Alexander isn't much with lyrics, but the feeling in his voice and songs is unmatched.

Discography:

Bloody Lunatic Asylum: 8/10
Vampire Chronicles: 6/10
Jubileaum Anno Dracula 2001: 9,5/10
Suicide Vampire: 9/10
Nightbreed of Macabria: 7/10
Pleasure and Pain: 6/10

And then they have a live album/dvd called Desire for Damnation: The Addiction Tour. It's from a tour of 2006, with Scarlet singing. It actually has a good feeling in it, even though sounding like it's been recorded inside a bathroom. Scarlet is pretty charismatic on stage as well, and enjoying with her horrible english and flirting with the italian girls. ^^

My favourite songs, something to look for when downloading thingies:

La Danse Macabre Du Vampire
Tenebra Dento
Suicide Vampire
Il Vampiro
Enthrone the Dark Angel (2001 version is better than the original)
Une Saison En Enfer
Pale Religions Letchery
Altar for the Black Mass
Dominions
Oath of Supremacy
Anno Dracula
Love Never Dies
Vampyrica
Dances with Satan (remix, Cut the Throat version, from Jubilaeum)
Blutdivine
The Brides of Dracula
Dracole Weide
Carpathian Spells
Angel of Lust
Luciferia
The Beginning of the End
The Golden Sin
The Curse of Headless Christ
Pleasure and Pain
Rosa Mistero
Let Me Die
Never Again

I don't really know which album the fans consider their best, but they've gained a lot of new fans with Pleasure and Pain (mostly snotty american kids bored with Evanescense) so if you ask around, people might hold on to that one. For me, I think Jubileaum and Suicide Vampire are the best.

I hope I was of some help, although being really tired and with a stomach aching. Take care. /Angelica
