Epica - Chasing the Dragon

Simone Simons smiled and waved at me when I saw them live yesterday. <3 <3 <3

Suicide Vampire was the first album for me too, so I wish you a pleasant time listening to it. =)

Ahhhhhhhhh I would so love to see Epica live one day! Very jealous as I don't have much hope for them ever making it down to australia.. I always have to order their albums online as it's too hard trying to find them in a local music store unless you request them to order it in directly.

Guess I should be happy though with getting to see Nightwish, and then a week later, Iron Maiden, early next year. Both for the second time. For Nightwish, it's been around 2 - 3 years in between visits; for Maiden, 15 years, but totally worth the wait since I saw them last time, and this time with their full show!

Iron Maiden - Wasted Years

For myself, it's my personal favourite Maiden track, but then, H has always been my favourite band member.

Wait until they've become big enough, and they will come. =)
The show was fantastic, a pity they only played 5-6 songs. But then they were only opening up for Sonata Arctica, but I'd gladly pay for just Epica. ^^

My favourite vampire song would have to be the Subway's " Young for Enternity"

Thank god for Dracula - he sucked the **** out of me

But then I'm a fat old punk and and to me Goth/Vampires = Bauhaus "Bela Lugosi's dead"

white on white translucent black capes

back on the back

bela lugosi's dead

Hmm, Bela Lugosi's Dead is actually a Sisters of Mercy song if I remember correctly. But it's from the same area, and the same kind of music, so no wonder people mix up songs. =)

Listening to nothing, but the latest thing I did was some Epica song.

Ah - the folly of the young :D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bela_Lugosi's_Dead

Perhaps the Sisters have covered it as well.

Funny to think of it as 70's music!

We're lucky to have some old punks to correct us silly youngsters.

Sisters of Mercy - Temple of Love

We get cranky in our old age

moan, moan, grizzle, grizzle - in my day when you got a piercing then it meant something and it was with a rusty piece of barbed wire and it hurt and you would die of infection and blah blah blah . . . .

(sound of moaning fading into the distance)

Currently listening to lots of Joy Division after seeing the film "Control" - finally got around to replacing my vinyl with those new fangled 'compact music discs' - the sound quality is appalling as the needle keeps skipping

Sarah Brightman - On the nile

Next : Rob Zombie - Blitzkreig Bop
Doubt it is suprising I´m a rob zombie fan after all :]

Tears dont Fall - Bullet for My Valentine
Good Metal :D

Good Emo-core to use a proper term(Good is debateble but I wont turn this into some ZOMG LOL THEY SUX-tread but Bullet for my valentine sure as hell isnt metal).

I'm going to my ivory tower to blast the whole of Puccinis Madama Butterfly in the morning for the purposes of pissing on the neighbouttd. For the moment I'll stick with the trains in the background here.

Miles Davis: Kind of Blue

It's been awhile since I put it on but it's so good. Just have my crummy USB speakers to listen to it, I'll probably put it on again tonight when I have a proper receiver to channel it through.

ATM: Lord of the Winter Snow - Luca Turilli

Next: 7 Days to the Wolves - Nightwish

Cheers, Wolfie

Kamelot - Ghost Opera

But I don't really like it that much. Am just checking Kamelot out on youtube as I had heard that Simone Simons from Epica has sung on a few of their songs. I think it's mostly the male vocals that I don't like. I tend to prefer female singers, though there are exceptions.

Next:

Going to search youtube and see what Sonata Arctica are like..

Kamelot - Love You To Death

Next, Kamelot - March of Mephisto

And after that Kamelot - Serenade

darknesseternal: When people listen to Roy Khan they tend to either worship his voice or feel it's annoying. =)
