I want to put a ghoul king in my army, but to my knowlage the only model out there is on a TG. Am i missing something? And what are you guys using?

Thats what I have. But you probably can get one on eBay relatively cheap. Hoards of Bits has them sometimes.

I took the TG one and based him on a spare rock from the TG/ZG kit to have him leaping out of my ghoul block :)

Or the old Strigoi models. They're still around are they not?

Jimminy Cricket! I just went to GW's site, and while they still have to goober-rific necro's from like 1981 there, they DON'T have any of the old bloodline models I knew and loved so very much!

Ebay. I'm getting the strigoi from the TG kit because he's just so badass. The OLD metal strigoi (there were three poses if I'm not mistaken) are still around on Ebay and older hobby shops (I have one that I painted years ago, and I don't want to strip him because he shows how far I've come!) but I'd grab the one from the TG kit just because it's so awesome. Besides, $12 is about the price I'd be willing to pay for a hero-type model anyways...

I don't believe so, I was able to get mine off of Ebay by himself, they look the part and according to the book the ghoul kings and Strigoi are one and the same!

if you do pick up one of the old strigoi models, be careful not to "overpaint" the little guy, their sculpt lines are subtle and with too much paint it will obliterate their fine detail.

that being said here is my dry-brushed strigoi for reference

I am in the process of making one from a chaos spawn torso, if I remember correctly the old strigoi were on the orc sized bases rather than the smaller skeleton sized bases. Would this have any bearing in today's edition or should I try to squeeze him onto the smaller base?
