Hey all, I have been play for some time now and theres a problem that have been a thorn in my side for as long as I have been playing.

Redirectors and blocker, I hate them and I hate them alot, it's just that i have no clue as to what to do about them, have tried Banshee's but the range on their screem is not long enough. So if any of you have a way to counter them please say so

Thanks

Well, one way is to have your own redirectors/blockers/chaff get in the way of your opponents. Dire Wolves, Spirit Hosts and Fell Bats all do a nice job in this role.
Hexwraiths are probably the best anti-chaff tool in all of Warhammer; a unit of 7 or so will reliably murder those annoying warhounds/rat darts/eagles that are trying to get in the way, and since you just have to go through them, they won't even have a chance to run away:suck:

Yeah! Hexwraiths will do wonders, and to a minimum degree, the Vargheists. If you don't need them hunting warmachines, you can just Fly charge above some redirectors into the next phase redirectors. You munch them twice as fast, and leave no room for them to organize quickly enough.

What kind of army are you fielding? What are you fighting against? Do you have any battle reports of some of the battles where things went wrong?

There are lots of tools for dealing with them. Just depends on what you have in your tool box.

Use your own chaff and redirectors. Raise those zombies up from the ground.

Flying stuff is awesome, varghiests. If it's something like chaos hounds or gobo wolf riders out on the flank a TG can drop in next to them and sing a song while he's moving in behind the enemy lines.

Ethereals will stop most of those throw away point units.

Solo combat vampire hero zooming about.

Charge them with TERROR! and laugh as they flee.

The best way to counter chaff and redirectors is to bring your own, mostly. Lone Spirit Host bases, Fell Bats, Dire Wolves, you get the idea.

We call it "the little war"....that off to the side nonsense of chaff fighting chaff. If to d nothing with your own chaff but this, at least you broke even. Bonus points if you muck up their main battle line though
