When Will We See New Zombies

Hey guys, I've been thinking about picking up a new box of zombies since it's been a while and they're tons of fun to paint. However I've heard grumbles that it's been too long since they've updated them and they're now out of scale with things like the new skeletons. At the same time though they seem to have redone all the models they plan to for 8th edition, at least for some time.

Anyone want to take a guess how long it'll be until we see new zomb's? I'd rather spend my money on new units I'm sure are going to be around for a while. What's GW's history with releasing new models in the middle of an edition?

I don't think they will release new models soon. Also, they are not out of scale. The new skeletons are smaller, but that is because human skeleton is a bit smaller that the whole body of course. So it is better to say that the skeleton scale has been fixed Btw. if you don't like the GW models, you can buy Mantic zombies, which look great. I personally like both(GW and Mantic), unfortunatelly, I only have the regular GW.

I happen to love the old zombies and can you imagine buying zombies in boxs of ten?

Gw tend to stay away from renewing plastic kits (and when they do they fail, I want the old state troops back, the ones with shoes) so I wouldn't expect new zombies in quite a while.

And like Reaper says the current one aren’t really out of scale (maybe the hand I'll give you that). If you are one of the few who likes the current zombies I suggest you to use them, because like you say they are great fun to paint (and to build for that matter).

I actually don't mind the current zombie models, but I think it's gonna be one of those things where they'll finally come out with new ones and we'll be like, wow, those are crazy good.

Just buy a different kit. Try empire free company since they are plastic and cost the same amount. Paint them properly and you're all set.

I think thats the main reason GW wont release new zombies. every single 20mm and ma non 20mm infantry models inevitably end up converted into Zombies (and as ever kit is more expensive per model thats pure profit to GW!)
