I wonder if this is it for new releases for the Nagash campaign. Rumor was a three week window, and week 1 is Nagash plus the book. If week 2 is just the mortarchs, then week three could be spirit hosts and morghasts, and we'd be done. but if week 2 is mortarchs and the ghasts, then there could be some more releases. Visions leaks haven't shown anything else, but then again this release is straddling a month change, so there could be yet unseen releases that won't show up until next month's visions?

I've got my fingers crossed - though what for I'm not exactly sure. Another mortarch box, one with Kemmler, Krell, and Vlad? Something new entirely? Something for the living armies to try and fight back with? Anything for necrarchs?

I don't know. I'm not getting my hopes up, though, as honestly I think it's more likely that week two is Manny/Arkhan/Nef, week 3 the hosts/ghasts, and that will just be all we see, for now at least.

which I posted up earlier today stolen from sunny on facebook, talks of a chaos release too that seems to hint at more than just the nurgle stuff.

Confirmed, VLAD'S BACK BABY!

I kind of think since he has stats in the army book that might be the motivating factor to return him to the story line. (You have less playtesting required from a new stat block). I am saddened though that they are bringing back Vlad but not Isabella. Their love story was always a draw for me from a storyline perspective.

I can only imagine this will drive Vlad's story even harder and epicly. The greatest stories are derived from the greatest conflict. HARUMMMMMMMM DO I GET NAGASH? OR SAVE MONEH FOR TEH MORTARCHS?

Also I've been waiting AGES go go VLAD'S BACK BABY without risk of sounding an idiot because it was a typo or misinformed piece of news...

Lore of Undeath appears to contain only summoning and augment spells.... interesting...

Week 1 releases seem to be just the Cards, the Books and Nagash himself.

Personally I think they will get 3 months or so out of this, with releases for most of the major factions. They've played it perfectly for the run up to Halloween, I can imagine that being another big release week for Undead. Then after that it's the run up to Ninth Edition. I imagine they will keep the End Times going through Ninth. I get the impression the logo/symbol/font for "WARHAMMER: The End Times" is a preview of the type of logo style they will go for for Ninth Ed. That warm up period will either see releases of Brets, Beastmen and Skaven, OR maybe just Skaven, and Brets and Beastmen will be the new Ninth Ed. starter armies in the box.

So i see a lot of people saying that nagash et al will only be this end time campaign thing and not usable in normal pick ups. While that makes logical sense, im not so sure.
Looking at how gw are doing 7th 40k, i think they may do the same here. Grukk is a completely usable special character outside of the sanctus reach campaign under the new format. Fantasy was introduced to our version of dataslates with the xmas battlescrolls. I am really unterested to see where gw goes with this

Warhammer: Nagash Book 2 is a 96-page volume that contains new scenarios and rules based on the events in Warhammer: Nagash Book 1. It includes the full rules that will allow you to field Nagash and his loyal subjects - along with all-new rules for some of the most powerful heroes of the Old World, such as Valten and Vlad von Carstein - in your games of Warhammer.

Armies of the End Times can also field more Lords - to up 50% - and the brand new spell lore - The Lore of Undeath - allows every wizard, mage and sorcerer to wield the fell magic unleashed by Nagash. There are also army lists that allow you to create a unified army of Tomb Kings and Vampire Counts known as the Undead Legion.

Excellent! It mentions Valten has rules in there! I wonder if there are more "surprise" heroes with rules in there..

Can't wait! :D

Nagash Book and Model bundle + cards pre-ordered. My bank account must be looking like a meth-heroin addict after a week without their fix.

If it's combined... W10... well, wow, it will take a fair amount to down him I guess... A9? 5 from Mannfred and 4 from the beast, seems standard, nothing special. I assume the beast gets thunderstomp?

Care to post the spells of Undeath? Or rather, summarise them to avoid breach of copyright... ahem...

Monster and character have now combined profile (at least for this book).

Mannfred got T6, W10 (+2 from is armour included) and A9! He can even use up to 3 magic dice to pump his attacks to 12 (the rule says he can go over the limit of 10).

What an absolute beast.. Source and point price if you please!!

Mioum posted it already.

I would believe Krom and Valten are for Chaos and Empire armies respectively.

Manfred, Neferata and Arkhan are all 650 points each. I can't read Spanish though so a translation of their items and rules would be appreciated!

The Morghasts are strange. They Hover (not fly), have WS5 S5 T5 W4 I4 A3. One type has halberd and full plate armour, one has heavy armour and extra hand weapon. They cause terror and act like BSBs for undead (-1 crumble). Sounds good right? Well wait til you hear their cost. 80 points per model for heavy armour ones... 90 points for halberd ones!

The Morghasts seem a little expensive.. I am hoping they have more cool rules!

(EDIT): I wonder if the -1 crumble stacks

@Bullhax click the text in his post

Are all these rules only applicable to the End of Times scenario or does any of this apply to the rest of the game?

They're strike me as the equivalent to Tyrant Guard, with Nagash/Army General being the Tyrant, you might only field 3-5 of them in an army. Personally I don't like their looks =(
