    Ohhhh, Shiny.

And shake (?) the paint before you use it. I never recognized any shininess when I used the washes. But I heard of it, and most of the time the users didn't shake the paint before each use. *waves*

    What motivates you to paint?

My motivation is very simmilar to the one of Boo :-) Seeing fully painted armies battling each other on a nice gaming table ... I want that too :-) *waves*

    Rising from the marsh

Thanks for all the feedback *bow* ... sadly the next update will take some time, because of some private problems :-( But stay tuned, in about 3 month I will return to the painting table :-) What exactly do you want to know? The techniques I used on her was wetpainting (so mixing the...

    Rising from the marsh

UPDATE :-) Yes it took some time but my first Vampire is finished: I think this was one of the characters in the last year which took the most time to paint. (aprox 20 - 25 hours) But it was also fun to paint. :-) Next in line are the Zombies. (I will finish the basing of the...

    Rising from the marsh

    Rising from the marsh

@mrsaturday: in post 4 is a small explanation. But next time I make the weed I will make a few shots with the camera :-) Some good news: I have finished the third skeleton unit, here we go: On the banner the german word for loyalty is written on it. But if you cut the first letter from the...

How long does it take you to paint a mini?

I just stole the list from DoN :-) So here are my current working speed, it also depends on the type of army, since I use different techniques for different armies: How long does it take you to paint a footslogger? - vampires: 2-3 hours, dwarfes: 3-4 hours, skirmishes (like alkemy) 5-6 hours...

    Rising from the marsh

Thank you so much for your feedback :redface: The next 10 Skelettons of the "Tree" unit are currently on my Desk, next in line will be the first Vampire and a few zombies. @Tribun: I don't like the "glowing eyes" theme for undead armies... I think they should rise unseen from the...

    Rising from the marsh

Hey, thanks for the image... That what I had in mind, when I first build the tree. The "tree" regiment is already finished, this shot was only one of the best, where you coult see the bases. The swamp lichen (hooray learned a new word :-) ) will be the same as the one the other skeletons...

    Rising from the marsh

Thanks for all the feedback. I really enjoyed painting these guys... but it was a horror to build them. Ich wanted to have dynamic and living poses, but since they all have the same Feet (all of them have their right leg in front, so if you build them regualry, they look to much "marching" less...

    Rising from the marsh

The slime is a mix of: - glue - static gras (not sure if this is the correct english term) - flock (term? -> this seems to be very similar http://www.gf9.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=36&products_id=350 ) - light brown pigment - green pigment I am planning to build my whole army in...

    Rising from the marsh

Hello everyone ... I started with the vapires a few month ago and a friend of mine donated me about 100 old Skletons ... I tore them apart and glued them together again in different poses ... repainted them and here are the first results :-) Some of the "green slime" is still wet ...
