    DV Deathwing terminators

it's vallejo Iraqi sand, airbrushed over a burnt sienna hue. The thing is then highlighted with my airbrush with pure white, and given edge highlights with a regular brush (also pure white). The whole thing is then given a gloss varnish and then an oil wash of Vandyck brown.

    airbrush

Oh, if you live in Belgium (like I do :) ), you can visit the Academia chain of stores to get some info. I prefer Heckler & steenbeck for a brand... E-bay will be a ton cheaper however.

    RATS! Rats Everywhere! (dipped skaven)

The army was done in about 5-6 months I think. There was a gap in between, so it's hard to tell. By using an airbrush for some groundlayers and the quickshade, it all went really fast though... It's not exactly the best work for close inspection, but it more than holds it's own on the table. :)

    RATS! Rats Everywhere! (dipped skaven)

The slime is a mix of uhu type clear glue with paint mixed into it. The first layer has dark green ink mixed into it, the second layer has vallejo model colour skorpian green mixed into it.

    RATS! Rats Everywhere! (dipped skaven)

Oh, and I nearly forgot to include some pictures of this little guy: The FW exalted verminlord. He was an utter joy to paint, but a true pain in the neck to clean and assemble... A lot of lovely opportunities to use my airbrush on however:

    RATS! Rats Everywhere! (dipped skaven)

I tried to go for a skryre theme for this army. That's why it's pretty unified up untill this point. The next unit will most likely be a unit of plaguemonks with a furnace... Although I have a VC army in the making for armies on parade, so it'll be a while before more stuff is added.

    RATS! Rats Everywhere! (dipped skaven)

I did have to put a metal pin through the hand of the warlord model to attach the banner and the pole on the bottem. If's kinda tricky, but the bannerpole is thick enough to pin it IF you are able to drill straight into the pole.

    My Warriors

I really like these man. It's a simple, but striking colourscheme you build up with the metallics. The bases add a bit more colour to the whole army as well. I always prefer these simple, but dark and atmospheric schemes for an army. :)

    RATS! Rats Everywhere! (dipped skaven)

Hey folks. I have a bit of a picture carpetbomb of my fairly recently started skavenarmy. The army is now a little over a year old... I did manage to paint over 200 models of this army, along with a boatload of other projects. The reason: I used quickshade (aka "dip") on these rats. The...

    airbrush

If you haven't made your mind up yet, there is one single piece of advice I can give you if you have a budget: Spend less on the airbrush pistol Spend more on a decent compressor. The compressor is A LOT more impoertant for smooth and consistent spraying action than your actual airbrush. I...

    Decent White Spray Primer

Both vallejo spray can primer and army painter spray can primer are good. The quality of the primer is most often determined by the user however. That is to say: every brand of primer can go bad if you use it while the air humidity is too high, or if you spray to close to your miniature...
