The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
Beta 0.10 is out now. The TK list is pretty awesome, with lots of inspired changes and cool synergies.
The VC book is fucking garbage though. Everything that used to be good has been nerfed to shit, they shoehorned bloodlines back in such that it's basically impossible to make a viable...
Being the tournament held in early 2017, wrapping up the 2016 circuit.
Definitely a big win for Mantic, and I think the best decision. 9th Age isn't getting much traction and KoW is a very solid tournament game. You could do a 7-10 game tournament over the weekend, enough for the best players...
Furion's efforts are certainly interesting. Core black knights? Yes please! Big fan of the point decrease on my favourite unit, vargheists, as well. Black Coach and Varghulf also become quite viable at the lower point threshold, while a 270 point terrorgheist really makes you consider other...
Having read the new balancing rules and lore rewrites, I must say that I am substantially disenchanted with the design philosophy on display here. It is very clearly written with specifically the ETC meta in mind, and has none of that cross-appeal that WHFB always provided as a sort of "base...
9th Age:
Yeah the VC changes are bad. Morghasts got nerfed **hard** (can only heal 1 wound with Invoc rather than 1+WL, no more bubble -1 crumble). Were they running rampant all over Europe and nobody told us about it, or something? The changes to banshees/wraiths are silly and unnecessary (who...

Not to be a downer...but there are like a hundred community 8th editions being developed right now. Might you not be better off contributing to a project like "The 9th Age," which seemingly has the support of the ETC community? Or perhaps some similar effort made in conjunction with the US...
Warhammer: Age of Sigmar is as much Warhammer: Fantasy Battles as Mordheim, Warmaster, or Dreadfleet. Save that you can use the same models, it bears no resemblance to the game this community built up around.
And while this community was built around WHFB: Vampire Counts, it's pretty clear that...
Age of Sigmar isn't Warhammer either. It bears a passing resemblance, due to being produced by the same company and being tangentially related in terms of fluff. However at its core it is not the game that this community was built around. Not even close.
Keeping this forum "just about Age of...
Age of Sigmar has passingly little to do with Vampire Counts, either. Our army has been relegated to a "legacy" battlescroll, for a game that bears little resemblance to the one that this community was built around.
A community is defined by that which holds it together, and WHFB: Vampire...
I wonder if a Warhammer: Kings of War mod might get more folks on board. More magic items, more and bigger spells, perhaps a break in the hard "only interact and make decisions on your turn," intended for tournament play. Might make it more palatable to casual gamers, and those who like a bit...
8th is a dead system. We can keep it on life support, but without official support it will wither away like Warmaster, Necromunda, Battlefleet Gothic, and all the other specialty games eventually did. There will be no FLGS owners or GW managers pimping WHFB 8th. Models will need to be sourced...
So instead of "he who has built the most poweful or well-rounded force," it becomes "who has collected the largest number of models, such that they can play just the right counter to each drop by their opponent."
How is that not "pay-to-win"?
It wasn't fully balanced. But it was *somewhat*...
You can play 8th edition out-of-the-box just fine, with no additional restrictions. You might *want* additional restrictions, but they are not necessary.
You cannot play Age of Sigmar out of the box. It's a broken shambles of a game. It *NEEDS* some kind of army composition system, whether...
You can't balance a tournament that way. "Don't be a Rick" is a way to balance garage gaming, not tournament play. What do you do...ban the guy who brings 20 Bloodthirsters? What about the guy who brings 19? 18? 17? At what point is it acceptable?
What about the guy who brings 20 black coaches...
